Not long ago in the UK, a news caused considerable consternation of the society. It was about a woman on trial for raising her new born second daughter in a locked drawer under the bed for three years.
She said she was very afraid that her young first daughter, boyfriend and her relatives would be aware of the existence of her second daughter and didn’t even register her birth.
She fed her baby with milk and changed diapers inside the drawer under the bed for three years. She even left the baby in the drawer for several hours when she went out after sending her first daughter to school.
Consequently, her second daughter could not go out even once and could not sit or stand up by herself.
At the time of discovery, she was suffering from acute malnutrition and dehydration.
This is a tragedy that can only occur in the ice-cold capitalist society where the maternal affection, an intrinsic quality of woman is dissipating and the warm love of human being is nowhere to be seen.
If the socialist society is a flower garden of love brimming with laudable and beautiful stories of women who regard it as their duty and moral obligation to raise children to be honorable members of the society and the family, the capitalist society is a decadent and ailing one where the words like “the month of mothers killing her child out of despair” and “child-caring is a disgusting affair” are coming into vogue and everything human is dying out.
