The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI), the Korean Friendship Association of UK ( KFA UK) issued a joint statement in support of the press statement of chief of the Foreign News Section of the Department of Press and Information of the DPRK Foreign Ministry titled "To definitely keep military balance is prerequisite for peace and stability "that was issued on Friday 23rd of August;
Against the backdrop of an ongoing war exercise by the US imperialists and ROK puppets against People's Korea , Ulji Freedom Shield , the US imperialists approved the sale of 36 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters to the south Korean puppets .
The US have tried to deny that the sale of attack helicopters to south Korea will not affect the military balance on the Korean peninsula but this is nonsense because at the same time the US also said it would improve the military capabilities of south Korea . The AH-64E Apache helicopter is an advanced attack helicopter.
As the chief of the Department of Press and Information of the DPRK Foreign Ministry stated "We strongly oppose and reject the U.S. and its vassal forces' arms buildup posing a grave danger to the regional security environment and escalating the military tension and warn them seriously of the consequences to be entailed by it.".
The US has also should advanced weaponry and military hardware to Japan and to Australia .
It is very clear that despite their denials the US imperialists and ROK puppets are working feverishly to make the military balance as favourable to them as possible and are planning to overpower the DPRK by force .
In order to defend its sovereignty and interests the DPRK will further increase its strategic deterrence .
We oppose US warmongering and support the just efforts of the DPRK to increase its strategic deterrence which is its legitimate right .
