An online meeting for the Day of the Sun -the 112th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG , the 12th anniversary of the supreme leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and the 92nd anniversary of the formation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army was organised under the auspices of the Korean Friendship Association(KFA UK ) and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea . The online meeting was held via Skype on the 8th of April at 1830 hours BST . The meeting attracted the participation of KFA UK members and members of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea from London , West of England , Liverpool , Staffordshire and Scotland as well as guests from KFA Andalusia (Spain) ,KFA Germany , KFA Panama , KFA Germany and the People’s Korea Initiative of Poland.
Dr Dermot Hudson , chairman of the KFA UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea introduced the meeting explaining the great achievements of President KIM IL SUNG .
Shaun Pickford head of Staffordshire KFA UK and secretary general of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said in his presentation that “ All the external activities of the Great Leader President Kim IL Sung were the embodiments of anti-imperialism and internationalism.. the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has been guided by the principles of internationalism and Peoples Korea continues to be based on the core values of anti-imperialism and international solidarity. So in the year of the 30th anniversary of the demise of the Great Leader President Kim IL Sung, we appreciate the role of President Kim IL Sung, Chairman Kim Jong IL and Marshal Kim Jong Un as the leaders of the global anti-imperialist movement. The Great Leader President Kim IL Sung will always remain in the hearts and minds of the progressive peoples as the Shining Red Sun of the World Revolution!”
Comrade Alan Bolon , Organisation Secretary of KFA UK and head of KFA UK West of England read out the historic speech of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG “On the Occasion of Founding the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army” to mark the 92nd anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army on the 25th of April .
Dr Hudson read out his paper “The successes of Korean style , Juche-based socialism” which said in part “Today , there is one country that is on the frontline of the struggle between socialism and imperialism , that country is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK ) or People’s Korea . On April 15th it will be the 112th anniversary of the birth of the founder and eternal president of the DPRK , comrade KIM IL SUNG . Also in April it will be the 12th anniversary of the supreme leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN .The leadership of both President KIM IL SUNG as well as respected Marshal KIM JONG UN are intimately associated with the work of building a socialism of Korean style ,centred upon the popular masses and based on the Juche idea . The Juche idea was authored by President KIM IL SUNG and developed in depth by his successor chairman KIM JONG IL .”
He concluded that “We must not only celebrate the 112th anniversary of the birth of President KIM IL SUNG and the 12th anniversary of the supreme leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN but defend with No Its and Buts their achievements and the reality of Juche-based , Korean style socialism”
The vice-chairman of KFA Germany in his speech said “ On April the 15th. Is the 112th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and the Korean People as well as the progressive people of the world celebrate it. He liberated Korea from the brutal Japanese colonial rule which oppressed the Korean people and even tried to eliminate the Korean nation by forbidding the language and the Korean names. “
A 2 minute silence was held for the victims of the Zionist genocide and the terrorist attack in Moscow.
