On the 6th of April at 1400 a meeting titled “Celebrating the Successes of Korean style , Juche -based “ to honour the 112th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG ,the 12th anniversary of the supreme leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and the 92nd anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army , took place in central London . Attending the meeting were members of the Korean Friendship Association UK(KFA UK ) , British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea , KFA Poland and the progressive Latin American and Arab communities in London as well as the New Communist Party including its general secretary Andy Brooks.
Dr Hudson, the Chairman of the in his speech said that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) is a state which is on the frontline between imperialism and socialism . Dr Hudson referred to the recent successful test-fire of the hypersonic missile Hwasongpho -16-Na ..
Dr Hudson said that “The leadership of both President KIM IL SUNG as well as respected Marshal KIM JONG UN are intimately associated with the work of building a socialism of Korean style ,centred upon the popular masses and based on the Juche idea .”
Dr Hudson stressed that President KIM IL SUNG built a Juche-based socialism that is not a copy of another country and that it is an invincible and durable socialism which did not collapse. He pointed out that “In today’s People’s Korea there is free health care , free education , virtually free housing , low cost food and no individual taxation . There are no homeless people , beggars or drug addicts in People’s Korea.”
Andy Brooks, the general secretary of the New Communist Party recalled his first visit to the DPRK in the early 1990s and his meeting with President KIM IL SUNG .He said how impressed the delegation of the New Communist Party was with the development of the DPRK which surpassed their expectations . General Secretary Brooks denounced the US president saying that he was a senile old man who did not know what it was . He called for the stepping up of solidarity with People’s Korea.
A lively Q and A session followed with questions about travel to the DPRK , the nature of internal class enemies in the DPRK and the issue of the DPRK’s relations with neighbouring countries.
Dr Hudson spoke about the 92nd anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army, the forerunner of the Korean People’s Army (KPA ) . He said that “It is said that from a small acorn, a mighty oak grows. This is certainly true of the invincible Korean People’s Army(KPA) commanded by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN which is today equipped with the latest weapons, including ICBMs and advanced technology. The origins of the KPA go back further than its foundation as a regular armed force in February 1948. In fact, the KPA origins go back to the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army which was founded as the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army on the 25th of April 1932 by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG.”
A message to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted.
There was an exhibition of literature and materials from the DPRK and KFA UK .
