Pleasure of 7-Year-Old Children

The new school year starts on April 1 in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

On the day, the schools are in a festive mood.

New pupils enter the campuses with vigour, teachers tag flowers to their school uniforms, parents take a picture of their children one after another and passers-by stop walking to see the campuses.

Everyone greets the day with pleasure. Greatest, in particular, is the pleasure of the 7-year-old children who have become pupils of the primary schools.

The erstwhile kindergarten children waited eagerly for the day that school starts, beside themselves with the joy of having been provided with the school uniforms, things and bags by the state.

Maybe on the day they seem to be given the first lesson of mother tongue under the title "I Am a Pupil, Too".

Pupils read the title after the teacher.

Their answers are different but they have the same desire to study hard and become a good person adding lustre to the country.
