Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Central Cadres Training School of WPK under Construction

 Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the construction site of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK nearing completion.

Accompanying him were secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK and officials of the units in charge of designing and building.

The Eighth Congress of the WPK and the second, fourth, sixth and ninth plenary meetings of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK set it as an important requirement for strengthening the Party at present to systematically and well train the reserve cadres of the Party and thoroughly arm them with the revolutionary ideas of Kim Jong Un and the Party-building line in the new era, and decided on rebuilding the training school into an advanced and modern political school in all aspects, including the scale, capacity, educational conditions and environment, and the WPK has powerfully pushed forward with this project.

Kim Jong Un, who has clearly set forth the immortal guidelines and fighting strategies for strengthening the WPK with his outstanding ideological and theoretical wisdom and extraordinary leadership and led it to victory, stressed that it is an issue related to the long-term development of our Party for training its successors and furthermore an important issue directly linked to the succession of the revolution to spruce up the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK and train excellent Party officials. He personally chose the site for the construction of the school, and meticulously indicated the principal tasks concerning the designing while energetically guiding the work to turn the training school into a better university than others.

Thanks to the vigorous struggle of the builders who have worked 24/7 with high consciousness and will to carry out with devoted practice the Party Central Committee's plan for turning the training school into a prestigious university, the construction of a "pedigree farm" for training the backbone of the WPK is nearing completion in a matter of one year after its ground-breaking ceremony in April last year.

The training school with a total floor space of over 133 000 square meters will be equipped with advanced educational systems and have a high level of educational conditions and environment.

Going round various places of the construction site, Kim Jong Un learned in detail about the building work.

Seeing with a broad smile on his face the school which vividly showed its dignity as a prestigious educational institution symbolizing the absolute prestige of our Party and the invincibility of our cause, he said that a perfect Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist school, a Juche idea school, has been built up.

Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that administration section, cultural and sports section, living section and all other sections have been built in a weighty, modern and practical way to suit the character, mission, function and purpose of a Party cadres training base, he highly appreciated the efforts of the officials and builders in the field of design and construction.

Pointing out some shortcomings and irrational factors revealed in the construction of the educational section, he indicated in detail the practical ways for eliminating them and gave instructions to dynamically accelerate the last-stage project for completing the school at the highest level.

The school, which is successfully being built as another masterpiece of the Juche-oriented architecture under the wise guidance of the Party Central Committee, is expected to be completed in mid-May and a ceremony for its inauguration held with splendor on the occasion of its founding anniversary. -0-

The Foreign Minister of the DPRK comrade Choe Son Hui in her press statement of the 29th of March made reference to the issue of DPRK-Japan relations . She correctly pointed out that the so-called 'abduction issue' had been solved long time so it is pointless for Japan to bring up it .There is nothing for the DPRK to solve.

It should also be mentioned that although the Japanese imperialists like to blather about the 'abduction issue ' but keep silent about the fact that they abducted 200,000 Korean women and subjected them to sexual slavery .

The DPRK will not have any contact with Japan .

We support the correct stand of the DPRK which is an independent and just one .

KCNA Commentary Warns against "Reviving" Souls of "Japanese Imperial Army"

Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- A former vice admiral of the Japan Maritime "Self-Defense Force" has been recently appointed as the boss of the Yasukuni Shrine where remains of top class war criminals are interred in Japan turning itself into a war state under the cloak of "exclusive defense".

It deserves a wary watch that the former SDF vice admiral manages the souls of war criminals in the island country where it became a regular political trend that politicians visit the shrine in flocks regardless of occasion and time.

In January this year, dozens of people including a major head of the Ground SDF visited the shrine in a group, and the fact that the commander of a training fleet command of the Maritime SDF visited the shrine in military uniform with his stooges and offered a tribute to console the top class war criminals in May last year was disclosed in February. This sparked off more criticism and vigilance from the international community.

Against this backdrop, the departed souls of the shrine, which have overheated the Japanese politicians with reinvasion fever, came to play the role of a "mental education master" for those responsible for realizing the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" under the command of the former SDF high-ranking officer.

Namely, it is the reality of Japan that the departed souls of the "imperial army", who embarked on the road of aggression and plunder in the last century, are openly "revived" by the SDF contaminated by militarist poison - the modern-day "imperial army”.

No matter how hard Japan tries to defend such visits to the shrine calling them "private visits made of their own free will" under an avalanche of international protests and accusations, it can never cover up the true purpose of the visit to the shrine aimed at militarizing itself and realizing its revanchist ambition.

Whether it is "individual freedom" or "private visit", their appearing at the shrine is an undisguised glorification of the unethical crimes committed by Japan and, moreover, danger is mounting as the reinvasion fanatics of the SDF are taking the lead in fanning up ultra-nationalism in Japanese society.

Japan is ceaselessly expanding the SDF into an offensive force equipped with ultra-modern military hardware while embellishing its past crimes through the distortion of history and trumpeting about the alleged "growing threat" from neighboring countries.

It is the ambition of Japan for reinvasion that remains unchanged no matter how much water may flow under the bridge and it is self-evident that mankind will suffer another great calamity when it is overlooked.

Whoever loves peace should be vigilant against the departed souls of the "imperial army" that are "reviving" in the dark corner of the shrine. -0-

We strongly support the March 26th press statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the CC of the WPK which finally rejected the idea of DPRK-Japan summit and negotiations with Japan.

The problem was that although the Japanese side talked big and blathered about the "the Japan-DPRK summit without preconditions", in fact they approached the issue from a deeply dishonest standpoint .

The Japanese side claimed that the "abduction issue " had never been settled when in fact it had been settled over 20 years ago. Japan also tried to interfere in the issue of the DPRK's legitimate right to self-defence.

As comrade Kim Yo Jong correctly states "The DPRK-Japan relations should not be used for the political calculation of the Japanese prime minister who is aware of his lowest approval rate"

We think that it is good that the DPRK has no illusions in reactionary Japanese imperialism .

Press Statement of Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK Kim Yo Jong

Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, issued the following press statement on Tuesday:

Through a press conference of the chief Cabinet secretary on Monday afternoon, the Japanese side clarified the stand that it can never accept the fact that the abduction issue was settled.

Letting out the expression of pending nuclear and missile issue which has nothing to do with it, it tried to interfere in and take issue with the exercise of sovereignty belonging to the DPRK's legitimate self-defense.

Japan has no courage to change history, promote regional peace and stability and take the first step for the fresh DPRK-Japan relations.

This is proved by the attitude of Japan clinging to the unattainable issues which can never be settled and have nothing to be settled.

The remarks made by Prime Minister Kishida about the DPRK-Japan summit, which have recently attracted the public attention several times, can be regarded as the politically-motivated one.

The DPRK-Japan relations should not be used for the political calculation of the Japanese prime minister who is aware of his lowest approval rate.

It was the Japanese side that knocked at the door first requesting "the Japan-DPRK summit without preconditions", and the DPRK only clarified its stand that it would welcome Japan if it is ready to make a new start, not being obsessed by the past.

The DPRK government has clearly understood once again the attitude of Japan and, accordingly, the DPRK side will pay no attention to and reject any contact and negotiations with the Japanese side.

The DPRK-Japan summit is not a matter of concern to the DPRK. -0-

Sinuiju Teachers Training College gives extracurricular education to kindergarten and primary school pupils.

In the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea there are children who become famous from the very day when they are born. They are triplets and quadruplets.

When they are born, the country gives wide publicity to them through TV, radio and newspapers, and awards gold rings and silver daggers to them as well as their parents–gold ring to a girl and silver dagger to a boy.

The triplets and quadruplets grow up under the care of the state from their mother’s pregnancy and birth to their growth until adulthood.

Comrade Kim Yo Jong , the vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK , further clarified the stand of the DPRK on the issue of DPRK-Japan relations including the possibility of a summit meeting between the leaders of the DPRK and Japan. Earlier this year she had broadly welcomed the possibility of a summit between the DPRK and Japan providing the Japan changed its stance towards the DPRK.

However the question arises whether Japan is sincere or not in improving its relations with the DPRK . As comrade Kim Yo Jong says " If Japan is mulling interfering in the exercise of our sovereign right as now, being engrossed in the abduction issue that has no further settlement and way to know, the prime minister can not but meet a criticism that his design is little short of a bid for popularity."

Clearly Kishida should not try to cheaply use the issue of DPRK-Japan relations for the purpose of improving his popularity or for other internal purposes.

Comrade Kim Yo Jong makes it clear that if Japan continues to be hostile and tries to interfere in the sovereign right of the DPRK to self-defence then it will be regarded as an enemy . The DPRK's measures for self-defence are no threat to Japan so there is no need for the Japanese people to be concerned about them .

It is also made clear that whether a DPRK-Japan summit is held does not depend on the subjective intentions of Kishida.

We support the correct independent stance of the DPRK with regard to DPRK -Japan relations .

The DPRK Permanent mission to the UN office and international organisations issued a statement denouncing the European Union (EU ) for sponsoring an anti-DPRK resolution at the 55th Session of the UN Human Rights Council recently.

The so-called resolution of the EU had nothing whatsoever with human rights but everything about 'regime change ' in People's Korea and overthrowing the socialist system in People's Korea . There is no human rights problem in People's Korea.

As the press statement of the DPRK Permanent Mission to the UN office points out it is actually the EU where human rights violations are the worst ; "It is the European countries where typical human rights abuses such as racial discrimination, maltreatment of immigrants, human trafficking, police violence and sexual abuse are rampant and children, disabled persons and old people who deserve social protection are forsaken as victims of all social evils."

It can be added that the EU is extremely unpopular and that most member countries want to break away from the EU.

The EU lacks independence from the US and is subordinate to the US .

The EU should stop interfering in the affairs of the DPRK and respect the sovereignty of the DPRK !

On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the publication of "ON THE JUCHE IDEA" by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il, the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea   of England and the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK jointly issued the following statement:
On the 31st of March it will be  42 years since  the publication of the historic and classic treatise "ON THE JUCHE IDEA " by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.

This work of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il fully systematised and carried to a new higher level, the immortal Juche idea authored by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung , the eternal president of the DPRK. President Kim Il Sung had developed the Juche idea over a number of years, important landmarks in this development were the works "Path of the Korean Revolution", "On Eliminating Dogmatism and Formalism and establishing Juche in ideological work" and " On some problems of our party's Juche idea and the government of the Republic's internal and external policies"
Leader Kim Jong Il in his thesis "ON THE JUCHE IDEA" looked at the Juche idea in its entirety . In the work he examined the application of the Juche idea to philosophy and historiography as well the application of the Juche idea in practical fields. In this work for the first time in the history of philosophy leader comrade Kim Jong Il defined the nature and essence of man. He said that man is a being , with independence,creativity and consciousness. These three factors form an integral whole. He taught that Juche proves that man is the master of the world, he said
"The Juche idea shows a new viewpoint and attitude to the world, on the basis of man′s position and role as master of the world.

The viewpoint and attitude to the world shown by the Juche idea are those with which the world is approached by focusing on man, the master of the world.

Taking a man-centred attitude towards the world means approaching the world from the viewpoint of interests of man, the master of the world."

This work demonstrates the true philosophical genius of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il .

The work "ON THE JUCHE IDEA " brilliantly expounded the superiority of the Juche idea. It showed have it overcame limitations of preceding theories such as determinism and over-emphasis on material and economic factors. At the same time it soundly crushed revisionist and opportunist theories which preached giving up revolution and weakened (and eventually frustrated) the building of socialism.

The work "ON THE JUCHE IDEA " shines brightly as a brilliant manifesto for total human liberation in all fields. It gives correct answers for those building socialism, correct answers for those overcoming imperialist oppression building new independent societies , correct answers for those struggling for independence against imperialism and correct answers for those fighting against capitalist oppression and exploitation.
   Today the Korean people under the leadership of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un are advancing to final victory under the banner of the Juche idea and self-reliance. The Juche-based policy of self-reliance will smash the sanctions of the imperialist hostile forces. It is thanks to Juche and self-reliance that the DPRK has not had a single Covid 19 case .

  There can be no doubt that  the publication of 'ON THE JUCHE IDEA ' is a landmark in the history of philosophy.

ON THE JUCHE IDEA is a a work that should be studied by all progressives, anti-imperialists, anti-capitalists ,socialists and communists as well serious students of philosophy.

Press Statement of Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK Kim Yo Jong

Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, issued the following press statement on Monday:

Last month, I gave my view on the fact that Japanese Prime Minister Kishida expressed his desire for DPRK-Japan summit talks at the Diet.

Shortly ago, Kishida, through another channel, conveyed his intention to personally meet the President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea as soon as possible.

As already mentioned, what is important in opening a way out for the improved DPRK-Japan relations is for Japan to make its political decision in actuality.

The history of the DPRK-Japan relations gives a lesson that it is impossible to improve the bilateral relations full of distrust and misunderstanding, only with an idea to set out on a summit meeting.

If Japan is mulling interfering in the exercise of our sovereign right as now, being engrossed in the abduction issue that has no further settlement and way to know, the prime minister can not but meet a criticism that his design is little short of a bid for popularity.

What is clear is that when Japan infringes upon the sovereignty of the DPRK, doggedly standing hostile to it, the former will become a target of the latter, being regarded as its enemy, never a friend.

If Japan truly wants to improve the bilateral relations and contribute to ensuring regional peace and stability as a close neighbor of the DPRK, it is necessary for it to make a political decision for strategic option conformed to its overall interests.

The DPRK's strengthened self-defence capability will never be a threat to the security of Japan, if the latter respects the former's sovereignty and security interests in a fair and equal stand.

The prime minister should be aware of our government's clear stand.

He should not think that it is possible for him to meet our state leadership when he has wanted and decided or such request for summit can be accepted. -0-

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of KPA

Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected the headquarters of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the 1st Tank and Armored Infantry Regiment under the direct control of the division on March 24.

He was accompanied by Pak Jong Chon, secretary of the Central Committee and vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, Kang Sun Nam, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, and Ri Yong Gil, chief of the KPA General Staff.

The guards unit, which has grown into strong iron-clad ranks, making the history of loyalty and feats under the care of the peerlessly great men, was overflowing with the steadfast spirit to defend politically and ideologically and with their very lives the Party Central Committee headed by the great Comrade Kim Jong Un and the indomitable spirit of defending the country unto death.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un arrived at the headquarters of the division, all the service personnel raised stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" looking up to the iron-willed commander who has developed the KPA into an invincible elite revolutionary army while dynamically guiding it only to victory with his outstanding ideas and leadership and energetic devotion.

After receiving a salute from the commander of the tank division, he reviewed the military colors of the division and its combined units and the ranks of commanding officers.

He was presented with bouquets by soldiers carrying boundless reverence and gratitude of all the officers and men of the division.

Kim Jong Un looked round the revolutionary museum, guided by the commanding officers of the division.

The unit, which was formed as the first tank unit of the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK in August 1948 on the initiative of President Kim Il Sung and under his meticulous care and earned fame as a steel-strong elite division, is associated with the undying leadership exploits of the peerlessly great men and has performed lots of militant feats.

The division, born and developed into a large unit of brave independent life-guardsmen under the care of the President, was the first to charge into Seoul and fly the flag of the DPRK on the puppet Capitol building and performed distinguished feats in many battles during the past Fatherland Liberation War, thus adding the title of guards and Seoul to its brilliant name. In the 1960s, the unit blazed a trail in mass movement by raising the first torch of the Red-Flag Company Movement, and, in the 1980s, became a Kumsong Life Guards unit. And in the new century it has recorded proud achievements in defending the country, flying the flag of the O Jung Hup-led Seventh Regiment in the van of the entire army.

Looking round the precious historical relics and data associated with the immortal devoted efforts of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il for the development of the sacred and proud unit, Kim Jong Un recollected with deep emotion the proud course of the guards tank unit that has followed the road of loyalty as invincible iron-clad ranks shining with victory and glory.

Noting that recorded in the history of the division are the glorious tradition of defending the Party and the leader unto death and a number of combat feats performed by it in every grim period of the revolution, he stressed that the noble tradition of loyalty of the guards unit and its tradition of great victory should be carried forward generation after generation forever.

He called for conducting efficient ideological education among the soldiers to make them steadfastly preserve and add brilliance to the immortal achievements of the President and the Chairman with proud successes in rounding off war preparations and beefing up combat capability with the unique pride and honor of serving in the glorious unit associated with the guidance of the great leaders.

After being briefed on the division's plan for offensive and defensive operations by its commander, Kim Jong Un examined combat documents and indicated the operational combat tasks and orientation of combat training of the combined units under the division.

He said that the tank division, symbolic of the heroic and brave spirit of the KPA, should hold high the banner as befitting a model of the entire army in the ongoing intensive training for finishing war preparations. He set forth important tasks for strengthening in every way the combat preparations and combat efficiency of the unit including that of arming the tank crews with overwhelming ideological and moral strength and thoroughly training them in the military, technical and physical aspects and getting combat technical equipment always ready for action.

Kim Jong Un enjoyed a performance given by the art squad of the division at the servicepersons' hall.

Through the performance pulsating with the revolutionary spirit, the art squad members showed the deep ideological and moral world and valiant disposition of the heroic KPA intensely loyal to the Party and truthfully represented their firm faith and will to vigorously struggle for the eternal prosperity of the country and the security of the people under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.

Kim Jong Un expressed expectation and belief that all the service personnel of the division would give fuller play to the stamina of the guards unit in today's struggle for defending the country and the revolution by carrying forward the indomitable fighting spirit displayed by the tank crews in the Fatherland Liberation War, and had a photo session with the service personnel of the headquarters.

The service personnel, who had an honor of having a photo taken with Kim Jong Un, raised stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" and shouted slogans of "Kim Jong Un" and "Death-defying defence", making a firm pledge of loyalty and repayment to the great brilliant commander who showed warm love and deep trust and instilled redoubled invincible spirit of the revolutionary army.

Kim Jong Un inspected the 1st Tank and Armored Infantry Regiment under the direct control of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division.

When he arrived at the unit, the cheers of hurrah raised by the service personnel with boundless honor, happiness, emotion and joy shook the sky and the earth.

Kim Jong Un received a salute from the commander of the regiment.

He met again the tank crews of the regiment, who proved successful in the recent training match among the large combined tankmen's units of the KPA, and warmly encouraged them.

He had a talk with the commanding officers of the regiment at the building of its command and looked round the barracks of a sub-unit.

He guided tank crews' hurdle-overcoming and high-speed breakthrough drill at the training ground of the regiment.

When the drill started, the "iron horses" launched a general offensive all at once, moving their heavy bodies in a mobile manner and negotiating the solid defence lines at a stretch. The brave tank crews, fully armed with the Juche-based war method and the strong will to annihilate the enemy, strikingly displayed their skillful offensive ability and great confidence.

Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the tankmen involved in the drill are fully prepared as a-match-for-a-hundred versatile crews capable of carrying out any combat mission.

He had a photo session with the tankmen and soldiers of the regiment involved in the drill.

Going round a mess hall of the sub-unit, he took warm care of the living of the servicepersons with paternal affection.

Press Statement of DPRK Permanent Mission to UN Office and International Organizations in Geneva

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The DPRK permanent mission to the UN Office and International Organizations in Geneva issued the following press statement on March 24:

Recently, the EU submitted again the "resolution" slandering the DPRK's genuine policy of protecting and promoting human rights and its actual situation to the 55th Session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The submitting of the anti- DPRK "resolution", which has become an inveterate evil practice of the EU, is nothing but a clearly politically-motivated plot utterly contrary to the purpose and principle of the UN Charter which stipulates respect for sovereignty and non-interference in other's internal affairs and to the efforts of the UN member states to protect and promote human rights through dialogue and cooperation.

It is the core of the "resolution" of the EU to insist on the infringement upon sovereignty under the signboard of "protecting human rights".

The DPRK permanent mission to the UN Office and International Organizations in Geneva brands the recent "resolution" submitting of the EU as a grave political provocation pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK to bring down its social system, and vehemently denounces and rejects it.

Today the fair international community is sneering at the shamelessness of the EU countries, in which all sorts of human rights abuses are rampant as malignant cancer, as they are styling themselves the "human rights founders" and "human rights model" and trying to teach others.

Many member states of the UN Human Rights Council maintain their stand that the "human rights resolutions" against specific countries are nothing but politicized documents which are not recognized by relevant countries.

It is the European countries where typical human rights abuses such as racial discrimination, maltreatment of immigrants, flesh traffic, police violence and sexual abuse are rampant and children, disabled persons and old people who deserve social protection are forsaken as victims of all social evils.

The EU is the very one that brought about the worst humanitarian crisis by destroying the stability and creating discord among the Middle East and African countries and is taking a cold attitude being unrelated to innocent refugees whether they drown in the Mediterranean Sea to death or suffer from coldness and diseases in refugee camps.

The EU is besmirching the sacred UN human rights arena by fabricating someone's non-existing "human rights issue" though it could not properly settle even its existing and urgent human rights abuses. This is not because it is truly interested in protecting and promoting human rights.

It is the main purpose of the "improvement of human rights" touted by the EU to justify its interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states under the pretext of "human rights and democracy", distorting the universal definition of human rights and preaching its "values".

No one or no international law did not give the EU an authority to interfere in internal affairs of independent sovereign states and impose its principle on them.

The "strategic independence" and "independence" advocated by Europe will only highlight the true nature of the EU which is strategically subordinated to the U.S. policy of hegemony.

The protection of human rights and the defence of sovereignty are inseparably related.

The DPRK regarding the people-first principle as its state policy will as ever fulfill its responsibility and role to defend the sovereign right of the state and protect and promote the human rights of the people. -0-

Central Committee of Democratic Front for Reunification of Korea Formally Dissolved

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea (DFRK) took place here on Saturday.

Present there were presidium members of the Central Committee of the DFRK and representatives of political parties and social organizations.

The meeting stressed that the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government branded the ROK clans, who have proclaimed the DPRK the “principal enemy” and pursued the "collapse of regime" and "unification by absorption" only in collusion with outside forces for nearly 80 years, as the most hostile state, invariable principal enemy and complete foreign country, not the partner for reconciliation and reunification, and set up a new stand on the north-south relations and reunification policy.

And it reached a consensus that there is no need for the Central Committee of the DFRK, a pan-national united front organization, to exist any longer in the situation where the north-south relations are completely fixed into the relations between two states hostile to each other and the relations between two belligerent states, not the consanguineous or homogeneous ones.

The meeting decided to formally dissolve the Central Committee of the DFRK. -0-

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Message of Sympathy to President of Russian Federation

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of sympathy to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, on March 23.

In the message, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, on behalf of the DPRK government and people and on his own behalf, expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the Russian president and, through him, to the Russian government and people and the bereaved families and victims, upon the sudden sad news that heavy casualties were caused by a large-scale terrorist attack in Moscow region.

The message said that consistent is the stand of the DPRK government opposing all sorts of terrorism and nothing can justify the heinous terrorism threatening human life.

Our people regard the misfortune and sorrow of the friendly Russian people as their own pain and extend firm support and solidarity to the just cause of the Russian people to consolidate the socio-political unity and stability centered on you and defend the security of the country and its sovereign rights, said the message.

What Illusion about U.S. and West Brought to Ukraine

Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- Three years have passed since Russia launched a special military operation against Ukraine to counter the U.S. and the West seriously threatening its security leverage.

According to the recent data available, in a little more than two years after the start of the special military operation Ukraine lost 444 000 troops and its economic scale decreased by 30 percent with loss of 3.5 million jobs. And about 10 million Ukrainians fled abroad to evade enlistment, etc.

Meanwhile, the prospect of aid to Ukraine is getting bleak with each passing day and conflict and rift growing serious as NATO member states have felt extreme fatigue in Ukraine, though they had talked big about Russia’s “strategic defeat” while pouring huge amounts of weapons and funds into the Ukraine under the instigation of the U.S.

The West, including more than 30 NATO member states, has supplied astronomical amounts of weapons and funds to the battlefields under the baton of the U.S., the chieftain of aggression, interference, destruction and plunder, but this is like throwing water on thirsty soil.

World public opinion is now commenting that Ukraine became one of the poorest countries in Europe and a country which lost independence.

Ukraine, bordered on Russia on the west, declared its independence in 1991. At that time, it was a country with the territory of over 600 000 ㎢, fertile land and abundant natural resources.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the U.S. emerged the "only superpower in the world" and began to stretch out its tentacles of undisguised interference to Ukraine so as to “enslave” it as a whole. It had worked hard to establish a pro-American and pro-Western government with stooges who were educated in the West and vowed to submit to the interests of the U.S.

As soon as a pro-American regime was established in Ukraine in February 2014 with the change of state made under the manipulation of the U.S. and the West as an opportunity, the U.S. instigated the puppet regime of Kiev to kick up a frantic campaign for joining NATO. Meanwhile, it had systematically increased the threat of war by massing huge aggression armed forces in the NATO satellite countries situated on the western border of Russia.

As a result, the relations between Russia and Ukraine, which had closely cooperated with each other within one state formerly called the Soviet Union, was reduced into an uncompromising confrontation and conflict relationship due to the persistent anti-Russia moves of the U.S. and the West.

Russia could never allow the U.S.-led NATO aggression armed forces to be deployed in the region straight before Moscow through the entry of Ukraine to NATO but was entitled to launch a special military operation against Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Political analysts are claiming that the tragedy in Ukraine is attributable to the U.S. policy of hegemony and the reckless policy of the Western rulers on toeing the U.S. line that had incited Ukraine to stand face to face with Russia.

However, there is a more important reason.

The reality clearly shows that it is more attributable to the present Ukrainian regime's policy of worship and flunkeyism towards the U.S. and of dependence on foreign forces.

As soon as the conflict was broken out, the puppet group of Zelenskiy, who were tamed by the U.S. as neo-Nazis, visited the U.S. and NATO member states to beg for their military and financial aid.

The U.S. drove NATO and other Western countries following it to full support for Ukraine as if it met a good time while dispatching its military advisers to the Kiev authorities and providing them with huge amount of war equipment and funds. On the other hand, it tried to destroy the Russia’s economy and stifle the Russian people by intensifying the all-round sanctions, pressure and blockade against Russia as never before.

According to statistics, the U.S. and the West had imposed the largest-ever sanctions on Russia over the past two years. As of November 2023, the number of sanctions reached 17 500.

But such sanctions did not change the situation on the battlefield. On contrary to it, they gave Russia a chance of self-sufficiency by boosted domestic production, far from stifling Russia's economy.

Last year the growth rate of Russia's GDP was 3.6 percent, which is higher than the worldwide average index, but the debts of Ukraine amounted to 145 320 million U.S. dollars, breaking its record in history.

The Zelenskiy group, despaired at its repeated defeats, has visited the U.S. and other Western countries to beg for more funds, missiles, tanks and shells.

Many Ukrainians are shedding vain blood as victims of the anti-Russia hysterics of the pro-American puppet regime and as cannon fodder of the U.S. and the West.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the U.S. and the West have inveigled Ukraine to inflicting "strategic defeat" on Russia, and as a result, Ukraine, which inherited rich industrial potential from the Soviet Union, became the poorest state and ruins in Europe and the Kiev authorities became an "international beggar" recognized by all.

The German newspaper Die Welt contended that Russia will surely win a military victory as well as a political victory in the conflict, adding that time is passing in favor of Russia with huge resources and human potential.

The Russian government resolutely clarified its stand not to stop the special military operation for protecting the compatriots in the Donbas area, who had been the targets of the Kiev authorities' persecution and killing, and realizing the disarmament and non-Nazism in Ukraine.

Russian Delegation Tours Pyongyang

 Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Russian Maritime Territory led by Oleg Kozhemyako, governor of the Maritime Territory Administration, visited the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

Accompanying it were Yun Jong Ho, minister of External Economic Relations of the DPRK, and Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

Russian Ballet "Sleeping Beauty" Given

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- A ballet "Sleeping Beauty" was given by an art troupe of the Maritime Territory Branch of the Mariinsky Theatre of Russia at the Mansudae Art Theatre here on March 20.

Among the audience were DPRK Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu, officials of ministries and national agencies, officials concerned, artistes, teachers and students in the field of art education and the members of the delegation of the Russian Maritime Territory led by Oleg Kozhemyako, governor of the Maritime Territory Administration, and the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Culture headed by Vice-Minister Andrei Maluishev, and Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.

Members of the diplomatic corps in the DPRK were invited to watch the performance.

Prior to the performance Oleg Kozhemyako and Andrei Maluishev made congratulatory speeches.

They said that the performance was given under the deep care of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un who saw the ballet "Sleeping Beauty" during his visit to Vladivostok City last year.

They expressed belief that the performance would mark an important occasion in promoting the cultural exchange and the bilateral relations between the two countries, noting that the Russia-DPRK friendship has been consolidated for the past 75 years since the conclusion of the agreement on economic and cultural cooperation between Russia and the DPRK.

The performers began their performance, recollecting with deep emotion the time when they gave performance before the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un. They showed their beautiful, elegant, delicate and experienced dances in the ballet "Sleeping Beauty", a typical ballet piece of Russia.

The performers were loudly applauded and presented with bouquets by the audience for their impressive performance.

Fine Art Prodigy

 

Kim Jin Ri, aged 7, is a first-year pupil of Mangyongdae Primary School in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang, capital city of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. 

During his kindergarten days he started drawing pictures and was called a fine art prodigy. In July 2022 his colour pencil drawing Flowered Carriage of Happiness won Excellent Prize at the 8th Asian Children’s Art Exhibition held in China. 

On January 1 this year, when Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, came to the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace to greet the New Year’s Day together with the schoolchildren, he drew a bamboo in front of him and gave pleasure to him.
