BGSJI and KFA UK support Press Statement (22.11.2024 ) of DPRK Foreign Ministry

 The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and Korean Friendship Association UK (KFA UK) issued the following joint statement supporting  the press statement of the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) that was issued on the 22nd of November ;

On the 21st of November an anti-DPRK resolution was shunted through the Third Committee of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly(UNGA)  at the behest of the US imperialists . The resolution slandered the human rights situation in People's Korea on the basis of fabricated evidence . It is part of the hackneyed and long drawn anti-DPRK "human rights " campaign of the US imperialists which aims to bring down socialism in the DPRK .                              

The spokesperson for the DPRK Foreign Ministry stated that  the resolution was a " farce of adopting of the "human rights resolution" led by the U.S. and its followers as a grave politically-motivated provocation encroaching upon the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK, and strongly denounces and rejects the farce." This indeed true .

The anti-DPRK resolution passed by the Third Committee of the UNGA is actual interference in the internal affairs of the DPRK and goes against the spirit if not the actual letter of the UN Charter.

The US has clearly weaponised the concept of human rights to use against their adversaries and undermine those countries opposed to the US .

What was noteworthy about the recent anti-DPRK "human rights " resolution was that it took issue with the DPRK policies to thwart the infiltration of corrupt and immoral imperialist culture and ideology , basically trying to deny the DPRK its right to its own culture and system , its right to live its own way .

We support the press statement of the spokesperson for the DPRK Foreign Ministry and condemn all US attempts at regime change no matter who they are disguised .

 The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and Korean Friendship Association UK (KFA UK) issued the following joint statement on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the victorious Yongphyong island shelling incident  ;

14 years ago on  23rd of November 2010 the south Korean fascist puppets provoked the Yongphyong Island shelling by firing shells into the territory of the DPRK despite repeated warnings not to do so . This was done to try and enforce the illusory and bogus "northern limit line " , which is illegal and is rejected by the DPRK. The Korean People's Army (KPA), the revolutionary armed force of Juche, retaliated by shelling the source of the firing, Yongphyong island ,turning it into a sea of fire. Thus the south Korean puppets paid a high price for their stupidity The south Korean puppets and their US imperialist masters run about in fear and panic. The then puppet boss Lee Myung Bak and his cohorts taking refuge in an underground bunker. Indeed the south Korean puppets were like naughty children running home to their parents (in this case the US imperialists) crying because someone had chastised  them for wrongdoing.

 The south Korea side and mainstream media falsely claim that it was a 'provocation ' by the DPRK or 'an attack on south Korea' by the DPRK but it was nothing of the sort . It was a self-defensive and just retaliatory  action of the DPRK to counter the shelling of the territory of the DPRK. 

    The Yongphyong Island shelling was a   historic event that demonstrated the spirit, mettle and invincible might of the KPA, which has been trained into an a powerful Juche-orienated  army  of Mt Paektu under the care of Generalissimo KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN.  Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN skilfully commanded the KPA to win a great victory during the Yonphyong island incident. The south Korean authorities should draw a due lesson from the incident and act accordingly.

Press Statement of Spokesperson for DPRK Foreign Ministry

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Friday released the following press statement: 

A "resolution" distorting and fabricating the human rights situation in the DPRK was railroaded at the Third Committee of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly on Nov. 21.

The DPRK Foreign Ministry brands the farce of adopting of the "human rights resolution" led by the U.S. and its followers as a grave politically-motivated provocation encroaching upon the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK, and strongly denounces and rejects the farce.

Not content with branding the DPRK's exercise of its legitimate sovereign rights to defend its security and people's interests as "human rights abuses", the U.S. and its followers took issue with the legislative measures to defend our sound culture and ethics from the U.S. and the Western corrupt and immoral cultural poisoning. This is a wanton violation of the basic spirit of the UN Charter whose core is the respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs of countries.

We express serious concern over the fact that the practice of adopting of resolution at the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly is turning into a political means for interfering in the internal affairs and damaging the image of independent and sovereign states which are raising voices of concern about the unethical atrocities of the U.S. and the West.

Taking ourselves of this opportunity, we again call attention to the fact that the UN whose original mission is to promote reconciliation and unity among countries is being abused as a tool for confrontation to trample down the dignity of sovereign states and stamp out their sovereignty by the U.S. high-handed and arbitrary practices.

The behavior of the U.S. and its followers who are abusing the universal concept of human rights and international human rights norms for attaining their sinister geopolitical purposes while inciting the inter-camp confrontation, a direct product of the Cold War way of thinking is now acting as a harmful factor challenging the aspiration and efforts of the international community for the protection and promotion of genuine human rights.

It is an insult to the inviolable human rights that the U.S., the chieftain of institutional human rights abuses fostering serious and widespread violation of human rights stunning the world, arbitrarily judges and slanders the human rights situation of sovereign states with its yardstick of human rights.

No matter how the hostile forces may be the master of confusing right and wrong and hatching plots, they can never cover up the true human rights situation in the DPRK which gives top priority to the dignity, right and interests of the popular masses and regards them as absolute.

Protection of human rights apart from the national sovereignty is nothing but an empty talk.

It is an exercise of the normal and legitimate right of a sovereign state which no one can slander for the DPRK to take all necessary measures for defending its sovereignty and protecting the security and interests of its citizens as it has been exposed to the serious, political and military threats by the U.S. and its allies.

The DPRK will never overlook the daily-increasing hostile acts of the U.S. and its followers but make every effort to defend the socialist system of the DPRK which its people value as dear as their lives and their genuine rights. -0-

Weaponry Exhibition "National Defence Development-2024" Splendidly Opens Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Makes Commemorative Speech at Opening Ceremony

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The great Workers' Party of Korea has vigorously led the second revolution in national defence industry aimed at making the Korean People's Army stronger in terms of military techniques after declaring a grand national defence development strategy at its historic Eighth Congress on developing the KPA into an elite army equipped with ultra-modern weapons by highly developing national defence science and technology and researching and developing more ultra-modern weapons and combat equipment.

The WPK Central Committee headed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un set it as the most important and primary task for defending the country, revolution and people to highly develop the country's war deterrent with nuclear force as its pivot and has stubbornly propelled the struggle for its implementation. It has uninterruptedly accelerated great technological changes both in quality and quantity and in bolstering up the country's self-defensive capabilities and thus steadily increased the strongest combat power for defending the nation’s sovereignty and peace.

When he concluded his speech, all the participants paid the highest glory and respect to the peerlessly brilliant commander who is vigorously writing the history of just strength to achieve the eternal prosperity of the country and defend the security of the people, renewing their solemn resolution to go all out for the sacred cause of bolstering up the national defence capabilities with a single mind.

Going round the weapons and equipment on display, he highly appreciated the noble patriotism and loyalty of the WPK's red national defence soldiers who are devoting themselves to defending the dynamic breathing of the Korean revolution winning victory after victory and upholding the invincibility and mightiness of our state.

He said that the inexhaustible military and technical edge of the armed forces of the Republic and the eye-opening progress of the self-supporting defence industry which firmly supports it are the pride and costly victory which can be won only by our great people who have unconditionally and absolutely supported the WPK's line of building the powerful army and its national defence policy, without the slightest deviation, unyieldingly overcoming any hardships and trials.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, appreciated the concert together with g members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and other members of the Party central leadership body, major commanding officers of all military and political organs of the Korean People's Army, workers, scientists and officials in the munitions industry, and the participants in the Fourth Conference of Battalion Commanders and Political Instructors of the KPA.

When the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un appeared in the auditorium, all the participants raised stormy cheers with their boundless reverence for the peerlessly illustrious commander who is writing the heroic story of bolstering up the national defence capability to realize the cherished desire of the nation's history spanning five thousand years and is ushering in a new period of a great turn in building a powerful nation while leaving sacred traces of great service and devoted efforts on a long journey of history for accomplishing the great cause of building a rich country with a strong army, shouldering the destiny of the country and people and their eternal future.

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Has Photo Session with Participants in Fourth Conference of Battalion Commanders and Political Instructors of KPA

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, had a photo session with the participants in the Fourth Conference of Battalion Commanders and Political Instructors of the Korean People's Army on Nov. 21.

The venue for the photo session was full of boundless reverence for and trust in the respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, who gave a precious name, "My most beloved comrades-in-arms", to battalion commanding officers performing the vanguard mission in strengthening the armed forces of the DPRK into the unshakable mainstay of the WPK and the revolution and into an entity of great and matchless strength honorably defending the sovereignty and dignity of our state and who has shown warm affection and trust for them so that they could become passionate warriors consolidating the ever-victorious foundation of the KPA.

When Kim Jong Un arrived amid the playing of welcome music, stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" was raised.

Kim Jong Un was courteously greeted by No Kwang Chol, minister of National Defence of the DPRK, Ri Yong Gil, chief of the KPA General Staff, and Jong Kyong Thaek, director of the KPA General Political Bureau.

The battalion is a reliable base which the Party Central Committee consistently attaches importance to and relies on in the process of making the KPA politically, ideologically and military-technically stronger and the battalion's combat capability is all the power of our armed forces, he stressed again, adding that the battalion commanding officers should bear in mind our Party's standard and goal for strengthening the battalion and its fundamental requirements and thoroughly realize them, and thus creditably discharge the mission and duty of the advancing group and vanguard in implementing the line of building a strong army in the new era.

He affirmed that when every achievement associated with faith, special loyalty, firm will and indomitable efforts of the battalion commanders and political instructors, leading officers of the main combat units of our armed forces, is served as the main cornerstone and strong pillar, innovations will surely be made in bolstering up the battalions and our army's political and military superiority and combat power will be further augmented.

He expressed expectation and belief that the participants in the conference would fully embody its basic spirit of preparing all the battalions of our armed forces as ones capable of going into action and engaging in battle immediately after receiving an order of the Party Central Committee, an all-purpose battalion capable of perfectly performing any mission, in their future political and military activities, and vigorously push forward the perfection of war readiness by dint of military and political combination. Then, he left a picture of love to shine forever along with the army-building history.

When the photo session was over, the participants broke into stormy cheers, chanting slogans of "Kim Jong Un" and "Death-defying defence” with their ardent loyalty and pledge.

Bearing in mind the high intention and deep trust of Kim Jong Un, all the participants hardened their firm will to strengthen the battalions of the whole army into a crystal of absolute loyalty to the Party and the revolution, the country and the people and elite ranks of a-match-for-a-hundred combatants and thus reliably defend and glorify the sacred sovereignty of the country and the honor of the people with the steadfast revolutionary faith, strong patriotic spirit, matchless heroism and mettle of the great Kim Jong Un's army. -0
