The Korean Friendship Association of the UK and British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea hosted an online meeting at 1500 hours BST on the 9th of July to remember President KIM IL SUNG who passed away on the 8th of July 1994.
Participating in the meeting were members of KFA UK and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea from London , West of England , Staffordshire , Kent and elsewhere . The meeting was also joined by members of the Korean Friendship Association of the USA , KFA Greece and also members of the Party of Communists of the USA , the Movement for a People’s Democracy of the USA and League of Young Communists of the USA .
The meeting started with the playing of the ‘Song of General KIM IL SUNG ‘.
Dr Dermot Hudson, Chairman of KFA UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, introduced the meeting .
Comrade Alan Bolon KFA UK Organisation Secretary and head of KFA UK West of England spoke pointing out that “President KIM IL SUNG is a figure permanently inscribed among the world leaders of the communist movement, heroes of the struggle and those communist activists who in the revolutionary movement skillfully combined theory with practice, but not only, Juche's philosophy discovered and developed new paths and brought new quality and new revolutionary solutions to the struggle for human dignity, liberation from colonial oppression, and a life free from all forms of exploitation, and a life full of the pursuit of higher aspirations in the name of society at large.”
Dr Dermot Hudson , Chairman of KFA UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in his speech said in part ‘ Independence, independence and independence was the creed of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG . He authored the Juche Idea which lights the road of independence for the popular masses and teaches us that man is the master of everything .The Juche idea captivated the anti-imperialists and revolutionaries throughout the world,including the Black Panther Party in the USA,Thousands of seminars on the Juche idea have been held all over the world…..We remember great President KIM IL SUNG as the eternal leader of the Korean people and WPK , the greatest of great leaders who was the author of the Juche idea, the benevolent liberator of the Korean people, the ever-victorious iron-willed commander and the outstanding leader of the world revolution. The ideas and cause of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG is being faithfully carried forward by dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN , who is identical to the great leader President KIM IL SUNG.
THE GREAT LEADER PRESIDENT KIM IL SUNG IS ALWAYS WITH US !”
The head of Staffordshire KFA UK and secretary general of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea praised President KIM IL SUNG as a people’s leader , a popular leader . The head of Staffordshire KFA UK stressed that President KIM IL SUNG built ‘quality socialism ‘ different to socialism in any other country .
A representative of the Party of Communists of the USA , LCYUSA and Movement for a People’s Democracy stressed that President KIM IL SUNG was a principled leader who fought for socialism all his life and gave internationalist support for the people of the world .
A representative of KFA Greece said that President KIM IL SUNG had authored the Juche idea in his early years and built a successful socialist country . He stressed that President KIM IL SUNG was a leader totally at one with the people .
The participants of the meeting discussed the single-hearted unity of the DPRK stressing that the role of leaders in the DPRK and how the DPRK is different to capitalist societies , for example in the DPRK there is no class of professional politicians and that members of the Supreme People’s Assembly just receive an ordinary salary . The durability of Juche-based socialism was praised.
A letter to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted .
Meeting concluded at 17.00 hours.
