The Korean Friendship Association of the UK and British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea held an online meeting about the 58th anniversary of the start of work of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea and also the anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration .
Participating in the meeting were members of the KFA UK and British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and progressive members of the public from London , Staffordshire and other parts of the UK . Also present were guests from KFA Bulgaria , KFA Netherlands and other countries .
Dr Dermot Hudson, Chairman of KFA UK and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea introduced the meeting . Speaking about the role of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL in building the Workers ‘ Party of Korea , Dr Hudson said “On the 19th of June 1964 ,58 years ago the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL began working at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK). This is a very important anniversary because the role of the Workers Party of Korea can never ever be understated . It goes without saying that the Workers Party of Korea plays a pivotal role in the Korean revolution and the building of socialism . The Workers Party of Korea is the general staff of the Korean revolution and makes selfless , devoted efforts for the people . It is the steel strong party of Juche and Songun….. throughout his several decades of work at the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea , the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL raised the banner of anti-revisionism and made a decisive contribution to the cause of revolutionary party building.”
Dr Hudson said it is the 22nd anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration between the DPRK and south Korea on June 15 . This underscores the need to support the independent , peaceful reunification of Korea and to campaign for the withdrawal of US troops from south Korea .
The Chairman of Staffordshire KFA UK said that the policy of independent reunification is based on the principle of ‘By Our Nation Itself ‘.
Dr Hudson denounced the upcoming RIMPAC exercises as a threat to peace and a move aimed at stifling the socialist system of the DPRK .
A brief summary of the 5th Plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was given to the meeting . Dr Hudson pointed out that the DPRK was overcoming the fever epidemic .
The Chairman of Staffordshire KFA UK spoke about some of the publications of KFA UK and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea saying he highly recommended them .
A letter to dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted .
