Dangerous Attempt at Fueling Tension

High-ranking officials of the U.S. State Department let loose threatening remarks at all hours when the security environment on the Korean peninsula is getting worse by the U.S. hostile policy and double standard against the DPRK. Among these remarks are “forceful response” and “short and longer term adjustment to military posture”.

These reckless remarks sound to us nothing more than a scream of the U.S. which was shocked and terrified at the tremendous power of our country which is gaining in strength day by day.

The officials of the U.S. State Department specialize in diplomacy. But they talk about “military response” which can be heard only from military officials. And that calls for a word of comment.

This proves how hypocritical the U.S. is in its catchphrases of “diplomatic engagement” and “dialogue without preconditions”. At the same time, it lays bare once again the unchanged ambition of the U.S. to overturn our system by force.

In recent days, the U.S. has also deployed stealth fighters and strategic bombers in our surrounding region, and committed aerial espionage against us by mobilizing various reconnaissance planes.

The U.S. is also embarking on a full-scale move to create an “Asian version of NATO” by frequently staging joint military drills with Japan and south Korea.

Therefore, the international society including our neighboring countries are raising their voices of opposition to the U.S. in its rash campaign against the DPRK, demanding that the U.S. take practical actions, instead of chanting slogans of dialogue.

The reality is showing vividly who is the main culprit in undermining peace and stability on the Korean peninsula. It also brings deep to our hearts the need to leave no stone unturned in bolstering up our strength which can overpower any hostile act of the U.S.

It has now become clearer that the U.S. is seeking to resolve an issue by force. Such being the situation, it is too natural that we confront the U.S. with the principle of power for power and head-on contest.

The U.S. should properly see the anti-U.S. spirit of our people which is getting stronger as the days go by. It should be discreet in its words and deeds.
