This year's Day of the Sun, the 108th anniversary of the birth of great comrade leader Kim Ir Sen , is celebrating in a situation that has never been before. Normally, our delegation of friendship would participate in a spectacular celebration in Pyongyang associated with the meeting of foreign friends from many countries of the world. We would bow to the great comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the mausoleum - Kumsusan Palace of the Sun - and maybe we would see a respected supreme leader of comrade Kim Jong Un , as it was on April 15, 106 (2017) .
These days we are thinking not only of the brave Korean people, but also of the friends of the people of Korea and all the progressive people in the countries most severely affected by the pandemic - Italy, Spain, USA, Germany, France, Switzerland, the UK and elsewhere. There are organizations of friendship with Korea in most countries of the world, and we strongly believe that their activists will soon be able to meet again personally in international forums and draw inspiration from visits to the best country in the world.
We admire the people of Korea not only by preventing timely and vigorous anti-epidemic measures from infecting the disease and significantly hampering its spread in the future, but also for its other spectacular achievements over the past year when we visited the most powerful fortress of socialism for the last time. . I will mention, for example, the grand rebuilding of the mountain district town of Samjijon, the opening of the agricultural cooperative and forest nursery of Chungpong with a new village for their employees, the Jangdok spa and ski resort, the Museum of Natural History and the Kim Ir SenovUniversity, Mire Science and Technology Center at Kim Chekek Polytechnic University, Pyongyang Sports Hostels, Unsan Catfish Farms, Pyongyang Dam of Orangchon Hydro Power Plant, Forest Equipment and Materials Factories, Tesongsan Spring Water Factories, Handover of New Houses to More Than Thousand Families in Jangdok and Popdong districts, the reconstruction of Suncheon Phosphorus Fertilizer Plant, Pyongyang Ostrich Farm, the commencement of construction of the Pyongyang General Hospital and the ongoing construction of the coastal tourist area of Wonsan-Kalma.
Care for the environment, extensive afforestation, construction of canals and reclamation of coastal salt marshes continued. In September 2019 the country had to deal with the consequences of the typhoon. In addition, it has recently faced the effects of global climate change, in particular the lack of water in the landscape, but also the devastating floods.
In the field of international politics, during this period, in particular, the Secretary-General of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Comrade Xinjiang, visited Pyongyang on 20-21. June 2019, visiting comrade Kim Jong Un in Vladivostok, Russia 24.-26. April 2019 and his meeting with President Vladimir Putin and meeting of comrade Kim Jong Una with US President Donald Trump in Panmunjom on June 30, 2019, which was also attended by south Korean 'president ' Moon Jae In
The DPRK has consistently maintained and strengthened its position as a nuclear-armed socialist power, bravely facing sanctions, blockade and extortion and relying on its own forces to build and defend socialism. In order to strengthen its defense capabilities, it conducted a number of military exercises and competitions. It seeks just peace, social progress and independent reunification of the Korean Peninsula. Therefore, it repeatedly condemns the provocations of South Korean reactionaries, vassals of American and Japanese imperialists.
In its efforts to build on the conclusions of the 7th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea and the plenary sessions of its Central Committee, stresses the importance of collectivism, socialist competition, education in the spirit of revolutionary and martial traditions, combating the poison of bourgeois culture and the entire society of the liberated northern half of Korea was permeated by the class-consciousness of the working class in the firm unity of the leader, the party, the army, and the people as a great red family.
Of great importance for raising revolutionary enthusiasm were the massive winter marches in the Pektusan mountain region, following the two journeys of the esteemed comrade supreme leader riding to the sacred mountain of the nation, instead of anti-Japanese guerrilla fights and the birthplace of comrade Kim Jong Il .

Despite countless difficulties, Socialist Korea successfully leads the legacy of its father comrade Kim Ir Sen , the successor to the immortal work of Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin, and the creator of the genius idea of Juche developed by comrade Kim Jong Il in great Kimilsungism -Kimjongilism . This year's Sun Day celebrations will take place unusually in Korea without the presence of foreign friends and possibly without mass events to prevent coronavirus, but it will certainly be dignified because the Sun of revolution, social justice and human happiness do not fit over the northern half of Korea.
