Juche Idea Study Group of England answers slanders of AP against the Juche Idea

A few week ago Associated Press published an article on the Juche Idea which quoted the renown DPRK social scientist Professor Kim Chang Gyong of the Korean Association of Social Scientists and also used a few lines of the interview by Dr Dermot Hudson chairman of the Juche Idea Study Group of England .
However the article contained grave slanders and distortions about the Juche Idea and People's Korea quoting some reactionary bourgeois overpaid so-called Korea experts who had never set foot in the DPRK !!!
Those jumped up fake experts and reactionaries tried to claim that the DPRK is 'dependent on aid ' . This is utter nonsense and denies the reality of People's Korea which is building socialism under the conditions of the toughest ever sanctions of the imperialists and world reactionary forces .
The book "Korea in the 21st Century " points out how a US academic discovered that only 4.8 per cent of the DPRK's Gross National Product comes from foreign trade whereas it was assumed it would 15 per cent . In contrast south Korea gets 80 per cent of its gross national product from foreign trade making it vulnerable to recessions , downturns and trade wars.
Some go on about "Soviet aid to the DPRK " and there are a view amongst some on the British left that the DPRK's achievements were the result of Soviet aid and the DPRK is a mere creation of the USSR or China or both . However , the USSR ceased to exist 28 years ago and the DPRK has lived well on its own since then . Secondly , it is a little known fact the the USSR imposed its own form of sanctions on the DPRK in 1962 because of the DPRK's anti-revisionism .
As the great leader President KIM IL SUNG said " It is not true that we cannot live without aid. We can not only live as well as we wish even without aid, but also build socialism splendidly, and must certainly do so." . Recently respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said " we should neither want help from anyone nor lend an ear to any temptation, that we should choose the prosperity based on our own efforts only as the immutable road of development and keep holding higher the banner of self-reliance as we do now"
