The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement in support of the statement of Kim Yong Chol Chairman of the DPRK's chairman of the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee, (KAPPC):
The statement of Kim Yong Chol the chairman of KAPPC addresses the issue of the stalled negotiations between the DPRK and US and the whole question of the future course of DPRK-US relations. It is made that "The U.S. is now more desperately resorting to the hostile policy towards the DPRK, misjudging the patience and tolerance of the DPRK.". Behind the figleaf of 'dialogue' and 'improved relations' the US has basically kept up its hostile anti-DPRK policy such as maintaining very extreme and draconian sanctions on the DPRK . On top of this the US has shown signs of intensifying its hostility to the DPRK by taking issue with the justified measures for increasing self-defence capabilities and still insisting on so -called "Final Fully Verifiable Denuclearization" which is in essence a call for the DPRK's one-sided unilateral nuclear disarmament, an echo of the so-called 'Libyan solution' . Worse still some US military figures have called for nuclear strike exercises against the DPRK , a most intolerable provocation to say the least .
The statement of the KAPPC chairman Kim Yong Chol correctly observes that " The situation points to the U.S. intent to isolate and stifle the DPRK in a more crafty and vicious way than". This is indeed very true . The US is trying to stifle and overthrow the socialist system of the DPRK under the cover of "peace ' and 'improved bilateral relations" .However the DPRK has shown that is not fooled by this trick of the US and is not falling into the trap being set by the US . The DPRK is showing that it has no illusions about the US.
Moreover although the rapport between the Chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission Chairman respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and President Trump has been an important factor in defusing tensions , the DPRK does not intend to rely on this alone and warns that "'there can be the exchange of fire any moment."
We unreservedly support this excellent statement and urge the US to end its hostile policy towards the DPRK . The clock is ticking and time is running for the US ! They should heed the warning given by the chairman of the DPRK KAPPC!
