On
9th
September 9th 2012, the Korean people and world progressive opinion
will be celebrating the sixty fourth anniversary of the foundation of
the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. This year the anniversary of
the Republic is even more significant, as it falls during the centenary
year of the birth of the DPRK's founder, President KIM IL SUNG. President KIM IL SUNG was
the architect of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea from the
moment of the establishment of the Republic on 9th September, 1948 up to
the period of the tragic passing away of the Respected President. KIM IL SUNG's constant
attention was for the effort to provide lasting welfare and happiness
to the Korean people and most importantly, to give the Korean
nation.genuine sovereignty and independence.
The
Democratic
Peoples Republic of Korea was formed after many decades
of fierce struggle against Japanese colonialism. Only three years when
Korea had been liberated on 15th August 1945, that a Democratic Peoples
State was setup by President KIM IL SUNG. On September 9th 1948, state power was
in the hands of the Korean people, that the workers, peasants and intellectuals became the masters of the liberated nation. KIM IL SUNG's underlying
principle in establishing the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea was
the patriotic unity of all the Korean people for the task of building an
independent country. To overcome the division of Korea has always been
the top priopity of the DPRK Government from its foundation to the present day.
Since
its creation, the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea has made many
outstanding achievements in the fields of ideology, politics, the
economy, culture and education. With the Cholima spirit the DPRK carried
out industrialization in 14 years and cooperatized and technicalized agriuculture.
As a result the DPRK established a socialist system where the
population enjoy the rights to all forms of free education and health
care. Social wealth and production relations within the DPRK belong to
the Korean people, not to the IMF, the World Bank and
multi-national corporations. Peoples Korea does
not experience such phenomenon such as unemployment , hyper-inflation
and debt crises. The DPRK was the first country in the world to
abolish taxation by the decree enacted by the third session of the fifth
Supreme Peoples Assembly.
Chairman KIM JONG IL throughout his lifetime devoted his endeavours to making the DPRK, a great, powerful
and prosperous socialist country. KIM JONG IL developed during
the intensive activity to build Socialist Korea as the thriving nation,
the concept of the politics of Love and Trust. With the leadership of KIM JONG IL, the
DPRK entered the stage of the scientific and technological revolution.
US imperialism has attempted for well over 67 years to isolate and
destroy the independent socialist system and territorial integrity of
the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. The
Songun revolutionary leadership of great KIM JONG IL has ensured the survival and growth of Korean style socialism.
The
cause of safeguarding and perfecting the social-political system of the
Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea is being carried on by the
First Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, KIM JONG UN. KIM JONG UN is loyally upholding the legacy of nation building by President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL. The aim of constructing a thriving socialist country, where the Korean people will want for nothing, is the intention of KIM JONG UN. Under KIM JONG UN's guidance,
the DPRK is becoming the leading nation in terms of science and
technology. Peoples Korea will maintain and persevere its
Juche character and its independent essence with the dear respected
Comrade KIM JONG UN at the head of the party, the state and the army.
The
Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group of Britain calls
upon all anti-imperialists
and socialists, peace campaigners and trade unionists to celebrate the
64th anniversary of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea and rejoice
in the success of the independent and heroic Korean people. The
Democratic People Republic of Korea stands as a beacon to humanity, as a
society of social justice and equality, free from the interference and
domination of the hegemonists.
