                                      London 16 September Juche 101
The ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA issued the following joint statement denouncing the criminal attempts of the south Korean puppet fascist regime of Lee Myung Bak to use to turn the "International PEN Conference " to be held in south Korea into an exercise of anti DPRK propaganda slandering the people-centred socialist system of the DPRK.
It is strange that the International PEN Conference should even be held in south Korea which is a graveyard of human rights , a fascist dictatorship.  International PEN claims to support freedom of expression but in south Korea freedom of expression is ruthelessly trampled down by the Lee Myung Bak fascist clique. Ro Su Hui was brutally arrested as he returned to south Korea after visiting the DPRK . Earlier in 2010 they arrested the Rev Han Sang Ryol after he had visited the DPRK. Countless pro reunification patriots, Juche idea followers and progressive people have been arrested in south Korea and  ina cerated under the so-called "national security law " of south Korea. South Korea was widely known in the 1960s and 1970s as a vile fascist regime without no parallel in the world as it murdered numerous people and faking up cases like the "People's Revolutionary Party " case.  South Korea operates a crude and  cheap copy of of 1950s style McCarthyism and is based upon grotesque and fanatical anti-communism which has no place in the modern world.

Writers and poets have been jailed many times in south Korea and even put to death. Why on earth does "International PEN" which is supposed to defend the freedom of expression of writers choose to holds its conference in south Korea ? Why is International PEN allowing itself to be drawn into the propaganda schemes of the south Korean fascist puppets.
The so-called "defectors from the north" that the south Korean reactionaries plan to draw into the International PEN conference are simply renegades and layabouts who betrayed their socialist country for a few dollars. In the DPRK a people -centred socialist system exists. It has no exploitation or oppression. Taxation was abolished and housing is given to people free of charge, who can be against this ?
The "International PEN " conference is being turned into a circus of anti DPRK propaganda and is being used as sideshow to prop up the ailing Lee Myung Bak regime.
We call for an end to the anti-socialist, anti DPRK "human rights " propaganda of the south Korean puppets and the imperialists.
