The shocking scene at Panmumjom on the 5th of July showed a deep contrast between the independent Juche-based socialist DPRK , an anti-imperialist and patriotic power and the US controlled fascist south Korean puppet regime . The anti-people , reactionary and repressive nature of the south Korean regime was shown up fully by their actions.
On the DPRK side there were many singing and chanting to send vice-chairman Ro Su Hui who had been staying in the DPRK for over 2 months having come to pay his respects to the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il on the 100th day since he passed away. On the south Korean side there were only south Korean puppet troops and sinister looking thuggish agents of the hated south Korean "National Intelligence Service"( a direct successor to unlamented "Agency for National Security Planning" and the KCIA of Park Chung Hee) plus employees of the so-called "Unification Ministry" . They stood impassive and indifferent to the singing and cheering of the DPRK side. It was hard to differentiate the south Korean puppet troops in appearance from Americans, they looked like clones of the Yankees.
Vice chairman Ro did not stand a chance , as soon he put his foot on the south Korean side of the military demarcation line he was grabbed by burly looking NIS men . One of them put his arm around vice-chairman Ro's neck throttling him. He was then carried off on all fours by the despicable fascist thugs. There can be no other for the south Korean authorities other than fascist , it is a simple as that.
Poignant images were the flowers given to vice-chairman Ro by people in the DPRK thrown down on the ground the fascist puppet ruffians and a south Korean puppet soldier's boot on top of a Reunification flag. This shows that the Lee Myung Bak-ites are trampling down the idea of reunification.
Vice-chairman Ro is an innocent man , he done nothing wrong at all. Indeed quite the reverse his visit to the DPRK was a patriotic act contributing to the peaceful reunification of Korea . Vice Chairman Ro is a patriotic reunification. The idea of being arrested just visiting one part of your country is just ridciculous but this becomes sinister and diabolic when you consider that vice Chairman Ro was working conscientiously for the reunification of Korea , a homogenous nation divided by outsiders primarily the US imperialists.
Mention should be made of the role of the US imperialists and the so-called "UN command " at Panmunjom . Basically they were complicit in the arrest of vice-chairman Ro as Panmumjom is under their control and they could have chosen to stop the outrage . In fact the U.S. aggression forces in south Korea o let persons concerned of the
"UN Command" issue through a loudspeaker from the morning a warning
against Ro Su Hui's approach to Panmunjom.
The arrest of vice-chairman Ro showed up the hypocrisy of the so-called "human rights" lobby. Mr Ro's brutal arrest was a serious violation of human rights. The south Korean puppet regime spreads lies about the human rights situation in the DPRK to divert from its own repression of pro reunification, patriotic and progressive forces . It also diverts attention from the corruption of south Korea , only recently Lee Myung Bak's own brother was charged with corruption. South Korea is also a society where the rich get ever richer and the poor get ever poorer.
In south Korea 50 years fascist dictator Park Chung Hee came to power in US backed coup'd etat. With assistance from the US armed forces and the CIA he established a massive repressive apparatus which had 1 secret policeman for every 24 people. Despite many changes in south Korea , this apparatus never went away and has been reactivated with a venegance by the
Lee Myung Bak puppet regime.
Today the Lee Myung Bak fascist puppets under the direction of the US imperialists are heavily repressing those who believe in peace and reunification . We must increase our solidarity with the progressive and democratic forces in south Korea including Pomminryon and the AINDF 10 fold and a 100 fold.
