A brief Review of "Anti-Revisionist Fortress of Juche"-from Staffordshire KFA UK and the Stoke On Trent branch of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea

The topic of Modern Revisionism has been of great concern for Communists for many decades. Classic revisionism emerged from the 1880s with the likes of Bernstein and Kautsky in the time of the Second International  (1889-1914). Lenin, Stalin and the Bolshevik leadership defeated the first wave of revisionism.

A second and more deadly wave of revisionism arose after the 20th Congress of the CPSU in 1956 and had profound consequences for the International Communist Movement. The contributions of the Chinese and Albanian parties during the 1960s and 70s in combatting Modern Revisionism are well known, very little attention has been focused on the Anti-Revisionist Struggle of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Doctor Dermot Hudson in his latest book provides a vivid account of the Workers' Party of Korea's consistent battle with all forms of Modern Revisionism. Although Doctor Hudson wrote an earlier work on the WPK's Anti-Revisionism back in the early 2000s, his book "Anti-Revisionist Fortress of Juche" provides a lot of new perspective and insights into this subject which were not in earlier editions. One interesting aspect taken from the book was that the WPK defected the origins of modern revisionism before some other major parties became aware of it. There are many stories and episodes about the WPK's Anti-Revisionist struggle which are  contained for the first time within the book. The WPK has always uphold revolutionary principles while displaying a higher creative approach to the issues of revolution and construction, that is its key to success. A highly recommended book for political activists, students and academics.
