                    London 16th  of February  Juche 113(2024)
 The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and the  Korean Friendship Association( KFA UK) issued the following joint statement in support of the press statement of Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee(CC) of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK ) that was issued on the 15th of February ;

Recently , the Japanese prime minister Kishida referred to the possibility of Japan entering into negotiations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) and improving relations with the DPRK .

In her press statement , comrade Kim Yo Jong  the vice department director of the CC of the WPK clarifies the position of the DPRK on the subject of Japan-DPRK relations .

Comrade Kim Yo Jong points out that if Japan approaches the question sincerely and honestly and drops unreasonable pre-conditions for talks such as issues that have already been solved such as the abduction issue or issues that have no relevance such as the nuclear issue then there is the possibility that "the two countries can open up a new future together." Moreover if Japan does not oppose or interfere in the DPRK's legitimate right of self-defence ,then there is the possibility that the Japanese prime minster may visit the DPRK.

The statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong shows that the DPRK is taking a calm and balanced approach to the issue .

We support the statement of comrade Kim Yo Jong .
