Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Youth and students of the DPRK met at the Pyongyang Municipal Youth Park Open-Air Theatre on June 22 to vow to take revenge upon the U.S. imperialists on the occasion of June 25, the day of struggle against the U.S. imperialism.
Present at the meeting were officials of the youth league and youth and students. Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers bitterly condemned the U.S. imperialists, who ignited a war in the inviolable territory of the Korean nation and inflicted untold sufferings on it, with surging anger and hatred.
They said that the descendants of heinous murderers and peace wreckers are running amuck to unleash a new war in a bid to deprive the Korean people of their hope-filled life and cradle of happiness even at this moment.
They stressed that the only way for defending their dear parents and brothers and sisters and the precious socialist country is to mercilessly punish and completely annihilate the U.S. imperialists and the puppet group of traitors, the sworn enemies.
They said that they would fully demonstrate the heroic stamina of the Korean youth in the struggle for defending socialism with the transparent anti-U.S. class consciousness and build more edifices symbolic of patriotic youth at major worksites for the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism including the construction site for a new street in the capital city.
Saying that punishment on the U.S. imperialism is the duty of our generation which brooks no further delay, the reporter and speakers expressed their resolve to turn out in the sacred war against the U.S. and the south Korean puppets to remove the root cause of aggression and war and glorify the noble honor of being the new generation of Juche Korea and descendants of the victorious wartime generation if an order is given at once. -0-
