www.uk-songun.com email juche007@yahoo.co.uk The Association for the Study of Songun Politics ,the Juche Idea Study Group of England , the UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement in support of the indictment of the Information Bureau of the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea(AINDF) concerning the occupation of south Korea by US troops :
On the 8th of September 73 years ago , US troops landed in south Korean and occupied it. The indictment of the Information bureau of the AINDF states that "September 8, 1945 was the day that signaled the start of the humiliation and distress under which the Korean nation's enthusiasm for independence was quenched and it was subjugated by the U.S. aggressors.
The period since then has been characterized by the continuation of crimes against humanity by which the U.S. inflicted the pain of division and the danger of war with blood-stained jackboots and deprived the Koreans of their dignity, right to independence and elementary democratic right and right to existence century after century,"
The 73 years of the occupation of south Korea by the US troops have been 73 years of infamy and crime . They have been 73 years of oppression of the south Korean people by the US troops. The US troops in south Korea enjoy extra-territorial privileges in south Korea which means in effect that they can act like colonial overlords in south Korea and can commit crimes such a murder, rape, theft and drug dealing with impunity. The south Korean people are forced to pay taxes for the "upkeep" of the US troops and their bases. This is simply a form of colonial tribute . South Korea has become an anachronism, a colony of the modern type in the 21st century .

We, the ASSPUK, JISGE UK KFA and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean peninsula fully support the indictment of the Information Bureau of the AINDF and call for its wide distribution. Furthermore we declare that the time for the withdrawal of US troops is long overdue in fact the US troops should have never gone to Korea ,a country thousands of miles from the US, in the first place. 73 years is 73 years too long , even 1 day of US occupation is an intolerable crime. We say it is time for the US troops to pack their bags and go home leaving the Korean people free to decided their own affairs and reunify the country. Let the shout of YANKEES OUT OF KOREA! reverberate far and wide !
