           The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK , the Juche Idea Study Group of England the UK Korean Friendship Association issued a joint statement in support of the memorandum issued by the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland and the North Headquarters of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind GIs' Massacres on Monday 5th of May ;

                 There can be little doubt that the crimes of US imperialism against the Korean people are atrocities which tower over all other human rights abuses and war crimes . What stands out is that the crimes of US imperialism have not been confined within a limited and momentary window of human history but  span three centuries , the 19th , 20th century and 21st century and have been carried out over a period of nearly 150 years . It is also a fact that no one has ever been called to account for these crimes or brought to book. The crimes of US imperialism in Korea are far worse than the Nazis
                                                    US imperialism occupied south Korea by force in 1945 and divided the homogeneous Korean nation which had existed as a unified and single state for many centuries . Indeed Korea existed before the United States came into being. The United States provoked the Korean War in 1950 by instigating their south Korean puppets to attack the young Democratic People's Republic of Korea . The Korean war killed millions. The US imperialists used the most barbarous means of warfare such as biological and chemical weapons. They carried out massacres at Sinchon -ri and Susan-ri in the north and  Rogun-ri in south Korea.
                            The US imperialists have occupied south Korea for many years now obstructing the reunification of the Korean nation. US troops in south Korea have committed countless crimes in south Korea such as  murder,rape and robbery . In 2002 the US imperialists ran over two innocent south Korean schoolgirls in their armoured personnel carrier  horribly crushing them to death.
                                                                 The crimes of US imperialism have been carried out under successive US presidents . It made no difference whether the president was a 'Democrat ' or 'Republican' , liberal  or conservative , US imperialism's crimes in Korea still went ahead. Nowadays the criminal human rights abuses in south Korea and US hostile policy towards the DPRK continue under Obama supposedly a liberal but in reality just the trendy face of US imperialism . Today the US imperialists who are guilty of the worst human rights violations are hypocritically promoting an anti DPRK "human rights offensive "
                   What the memorandum of the DFRF central committee and the North Headquarters of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind GIs' Massacres proves is that US imperialism is the sworn enemy of  the Korean people as well the most barbarous and shameless aggressor of  all times and enemy of the peace. The memorandum is deserving of deep study. We hope that it will be widely disseminated . All labour movement, peace organisations and anti-imperialist bodies in the UK and the world should read it.
