Victim of Social Evils

Victim of Social Evils

In south Korea children are falling first victims to corrupt social evils.
The present south Korean authorities put up the eradication of 4 social evils such as sexual outrage, school violence, home violence and bad foodstuffs as a core task of state affairs. Paying a lip service to it, however, they take no substantial steps.
South Korean children live in constant unrest and fear without any social protection.
According to data available, in south Korea last year over 8 000 children were forsaken by their parents and roamed streets.
Most of them are children who were thrown away to streets by maiden ladies or are wandering after their parents' divorce or left their homes unable to endure their parents' ill-treatment.
Some children even commit suicide in despair after being whipped by their parents and scolded or alienated by their teachers and schoolmates for their bad scores in examination.
The traffic of children is prevalent in south Korea under the veil of "adoption".
The south Korean authorities set up "adoption offices" in all parts and openly sell off orphans at home and abroad allegedly to "protect" orphans.
It is said that over 10 000 south Korean children were adopted overseas from 2004 to 2011.
An increasing number of children is suffering from sexual crimes or missing.
According to data available, 4 000 sexual outrages were committed on children under 13 from 2007 to last year, inflicting great mental damage upon them and their parents.
In the same period, over 67 000 children were reported missing.
That is the reality of south Korean society under the loud advertisement of "human rights".
