Miserable Plight of Women in Capitalist Countries

Miserable Plight of Women in Capitalist Countries

Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- Women in capitalist countries have their elementary rights wantonly infringed upon and fall victim to all social evils.

In the United States discrimination against women finds its vivid manifestation in payment of wages.

According to a survey, female workers were reportedly paid 25 percent less than male workers on average in recent years.

Women in Japan are the primary targets of discharge.

One of three women is distressed by poverty, according to a survey made by the Japanese government early in February.

Women in capitalist society fall victim to various crimes including family violence and sexual abuse, withering hopelessly.

According to a recent survey, the number of the women who were subject to violence by their husbands and others in the U.S. reached 29 million.

According to a survey cited by the Japan Police Agency, in 2010 the number of cases of family violence increased 20 percent over that in 2009, reaching over 33 850 cases.

It is said that women met death due to family violence, one in three days in France and two in a week in Britain.

The European Council announced the fact that 12-15 percent of women in European countries have become victims of violence. This fact clearly proves the gravity of the violence against women.

As seen above, women in capitalist countries are in despair and get degenerate, deploring their miserable fate. This leads them to crimes.-0
