Report of 2nd Reading Session of “Understanding Korea-Human Rights” 17.04.2025
The Korean Friendship Association of the UK and British Group held the 2nd reading session of the book “Understanding Korea-Vol 9 -Human Rights “on the 17 of April 2025 at 1900 hours BST via Skype .
It was participated in by members of KFA UK as well as guests from KFA Andalusia (Spain ), KFA Canada , KFA Greece, the People’s Korea Initiative of Poland and a guest from France.
Dr Dermot Hudson chairman of KFA UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea read out sections 22 to 32 of the book “Understanding Korea-Vol 9 -Human Rights” which explained the system of provision of socialist human rights in People’s Korea and different laws in the DPRK .
Some questions were posed by the speaker and interesting discussion followed.
It was pointed out by a participant that “Human rights legislation in the DPRK includes protecting and ensuring the rights and interests of all peoples, and to ensure and safeguard the socialist system, so that the people can be the masters of their own destiny.”
The short documentary “The Human Rights Ruined Zone Under the “Statue of Liberty”, which exposed human rights violations in the US , was shown .
