The Association For the Study of Songun Politics and Juche Idea Study Group of England today issued a joint statement condemning the aggressive and provocative "Hoguk" exercise to be staged by the US imperialist aggressor forces and the south Korean puppet fascist armed forces which began a day ago.
The Hoguk exercise involves some 240,000 south Korean puppet troops andat least 500 US imperialist aggression troops. Even civilians and police are
involved in Hoguk which is something unusual. These exercises are bringing the dark and stormy clouds of war to the Korean peninsula as in 2010 the exercises
resulted in the Yongphyong Island incident . As the content of the exercise involves landing operations this can only be a rehearsal for the advance party of an invasion of the DPRK and attempt at seizing control of the DPRK and stifling people centred Juche Socialism by force of arms.It constitutes the rounding off of preparations to invade the DPRK and destroy it.
The Hoguk exercise is being carried out at a time when the US imperialists and south Korean puppets have intensified psychological warfare against the DPRK
and are wildly slandering the people-centred socialist system of the DPRK. There can be no doubt that Hoguk is aimed at so-called regime change, a criminal and aggressive act against the DPRK.
The Hoguk exercise is being carried within a context of increasing tension and arms build-up against the DPRK. Recently the US and south announced that the range of south Korean missiles would be nearly tripled to 800km. All kinds of military hardware such Mine Resistant vehicles and AWACS planes are being imported into south Korea. Hoguk follows on the heels of other exercises such as Ulji Freedom Guardian , RIMPAC and Foal Eagle. The Hoguk exercise is a most dangerous one as it could be the flashpoint of a second Korean war which in turn could become a third world war. Progressive and peace-loving people ignore this at their peril !
These exercises prove the falsity of the so-called "peace" loudly advertised by the US imperialists. They show that the aggressive nature of US imperialism does not change and that a wolf cannot become a lamb. As the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un said
"Peace is very valuable for our Party and the government of the DPRK that are making efforts to attain the general goal of building a thriving nation and improving the people’s living standards. But, more valuable for us are the nation’s dignity and the country’s independence."
The US imperialist and Lee Myung Bak puppet clique must give up their schemes for confrontation with the DPRK.We call on the US imperialists and south Korean puppets to halt these exercises at once !
We stand should to shoulder with Peoples Korea the land of Juche dignified with Songun the true people centred socialist country.We call on world progressives and Juche idea and Songun idea followers to campaign against the aggressive Hoguk exercise
