UK KFA statement refutes lies about DPRK health system

K KFA STATEMENT-LIES ABOUT THE DPRK HEALTH SYSTEM
Recently the BBC and other imperialist news agencies carried a false report about the DPRK health service system viscously slandered it.The
reports quoted Anmesty International which does not have any competence to comment on
medical and health matters as it supposedly concerned with human rights.The report is aiming at slandering the DPRK superior socialist public health
system,denying and denigrating the DPRK's achievements and inciting hostility to the DPRK.It is part and parcel of a campaign turn public opinion against
the DPRK in order to prepare people for a war against the DPRK.It is part of the evil ideological warfare against the DPRK and Juche socialism.

In actual fact recently the UN World Health Organisation praised the DPRK health service system as being
the envy of the developing world with no shortage of doctors or nurses.

In the DPRK free medical care was introduced in 1953.This was backed up by legalisation in 1960 and the Public Health law in 1980.All treatment is
free of charge including medicines and transport to hospital.The DPRK has nearly 30 doctors per 10,000 of population and plenty of hospital beds.

In the DPRK GPs dont just sit in clinics but actively go out and make rounds to visit people in local areas.This is known as the section doctor
system.
  Pyongyang has an excellent maternity hospital with 1300 beds and a  fleet of ambulances and cars.  On several occasions heliocopters have
been used to transport patients to the hospital. Maybe if they were in London, they would get told to take a taxi!
 This maternity hospital is quite a wonderous achievement of socialist construction.  320 pairs of triplets have been born in the
Pyongyang Maternity hospital.  Some of the triplets only weighed 1.7kg but thrived
thanks to the excllent care athe hospital. In fact, out 300 foreign babies have been born in it as well as one south Korean baby

Spending on public health has increased consistently in the DPRK.

UK KFA fully condemns the media and Amnesty International for their false and baseless report.

WHAT IS AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL?
It has long been documented that Amnesty International is linked to the CIA.It gets 20% of its funds from the US.AI was set in the 1960s as
part of the Cold War against the socialist world.
            In the 1991 Gulf War AI published reports that Iraqi soldiers had killed Kuwaiti babies in incubators.Later this story was shown to
be false and was forged by a US public relations agency.

KCNA described Amnesty as "a henchman and a political mouthpiece of the U.S., abandoning its impartiality and
principle"
