UK KFA STATEMENT ON DPRK NEW YEAR EDITORIAL
UK KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION

The UK Korean Friendship Association today issued a statement in support
of the joint editorial of the DPRK media published on the 1st of January
2010.

2009 has been a year of great victories for the DPRK.Now in 2010 under the
slogan Bring about a radical turn in the people's standard of living by
accelerating the development of light industry and agriculture once again
this year that marks the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Workers'
Party of Korea" the DPRK, under the Songun leadership of
the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il ,plans to make another great leap
forward in the field of the economy and in the central task of improving
living standards.When this is accomplished then the people will enjoy the
full benefits of socialism and not envy anyone in the world.
The editorial calls correctly for pushing back the frontiers of
science.Successes have been made in the past year such as the widespread
introduction of CNC tools.We believe that new achievements will be made in
science.In the DPRK science and technlogy serve the people and are not
used for private profit or to oppress the people but to benefit the people
by making work more productive and increasing living standards.
            The editorial also correctly calls for maintaining the Korean
nation first spirit in all fields of life.The Korean nation
first spirit is a fine embodiment of socialist patriotism and
is based on the most advantageous socialist system of Korean
style.
We believe that the Korean people under the leadership of the great leader
comrade Kim Jong Il and the Workers Party of Korea will successfully
implement the tasks of the joint editorial and make a surge towards a
great prosperous powerful socialist nation.
