Pyongyang, April 10 (KCNA) -- One of the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung in arranging the foundation for building a rich and powerful country is that he had developed the Workers' Party of Korea into an invincible one.

Under the leadership of the President, the WPK, the organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people, has set an example in carving out a new way of building a revolutionary party suitable to the era of independence.

He, with the belief that the internal force of the revolution is popular masses, set forth in his early years a policy of founding a party by the method of organizing basic party organizations rooted deep among broad sections of masses including workers and peasants first of all and then expanding and strengthening them. And he had guided wisely the efforts for its implementation.

After the foundation of the WPK, he had led it so as to decisively smash the pressure by the modern revisionists and great-power chauvinists and firmly maintain the Juche stand and independent line in the party building and activities including its organizational, ideological and leadership art construction. As a result, it has steadily emerged victorious even under the grave situation in which socialism collapsed in various socialist countries.

It is a brilliant fruition of the President's wise leadership that the WPK has developed into a steel-like one which is imbued with the Juche idea and, on its basis, is firmly united ideologically and purposefully, a revolutionary one all the organizations and members of which act as one under the monolithic guidance of the leader.

He not only founded the WPK and strengthened as invincible one, but also firmly established the organizational and ideological base and the leadership system in the Party for carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Juche.

As he had laid a solid foundation for bringing the Party's cause to a brilliant accomplishment, the WPK could be steeled further in the past ten-odd-year long struggle for safeguarding the sovereignty of the nation and opening up the road of new advance for the building of a great, prosperous and powerful nation; and it could demonstrate its high authority and dignity as the general staff of the revolution and the vanguard of anti-imperialism and independence which enjoys absolute support of the people.

The great exploit made by the President in developing the WPK into the unbreakable one leading the era of independence will shine long in the annals of the nation.
