BGSJI and KFA UK applaud the speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN to the exhibition "Defence Development-2024"

 The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and Korean Friendship Association UK (KFA UK) issued the following joint statement applauding the speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN, the general secretary of the Workers Party of Korea , to the opening ceremony of the military hardware exhibition Defence Development-2024 on Nov. 21;

In his speech to the military hardware exhibition Defence Development-2024 on Nov. 21 respected Marshal KIM JONG UN clarified the need to continue with national defence build up of People's Korea as well as reviewing the great successes that had been achieved in the realm of national defence . Significantly respected Marshal KIM JONG UN addressed the question of DPRK -US relations on which there had been some speculation about since the recent US presidential election.

Marshal KIM JONG UN clarified the DPRK's stance on DPRK-US relations as follows " We already did everything possible in the bilateral negotiations with the United States, and what we were eventually convinced of was not the superpower’s will to co-exist with us but its domineering stand and unchangeably aggressive and hostile policy towards the DPRK.

American politicians still say, as they are wont to do, that the United States has never been hostile. This odd-sounding rhetoric has long been rejected by the world as anything but plausible.

The US imperialists’ and their vassal forces’ wild ambition to obliterate our ideology and system at any cost and destroy our people to the last one has never changed. Rather, they are recklessly manoeuvring to realize this ambition in this century"

This shows that the DPRK is under no illusion whatsoever about US imperialism and recognises fully that the aggressive ,reactionary and predatory nature of US imperialism cannot and will not change no matter who sits in the US White House.  The US wants to overthrow the socialist system of the DPRK and is always finding new ways of doing this by hook or crook.

Instead of entering into pointless negotiations with the US , the DPRK will continue to build its armed forces and not allow stagnation in building up the armed forces .

We applaud the speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN which shows that People's Korea has no illusions about US imperialism and maintains a revolutionary anti-imperialist line .
