The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE) , the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017 Gathering to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu issued a statement concerning 
the double standards of the US imperialists in carrying out an ICBM test :
  As clarified by the statement of the Institute for American Studies of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK  the US "carried out inter-continental ballistic missile test-fire on May 3 in the wake of the one on April 26 at a time when the situation on the Korean peninsula has reached the extremely dangerous phase due to the largest-ever joint military drills waged by the U.S. after introducing huge nuclear strategic assets, and the military provocation moves conducted by it.

    The U.S. claims the two ICBM test-fires conducted just in a little over one week were planned one year ago and they have nothing to do with the DPRK's nuclear and long-range ballistic missile launch but many world media are concerned that the consecutive ICBM tests by the U.S. can push the acute situation on the Korean peninsula to graver phase"

 What the launch of the US ICBM shows is the extreme hypocrisy and double standards of the US imperialists . They have constantly opposed the DPRK's development of ballistic missiles going to the lengths of imposing one sanction after another on the DPRK and making threats of pre-emptive strikes against People's Korea. Where is the shrill chorus of condemnation from the imperialist media about the 'threat to peace'? The US imperialists have a real double standard , very much a case of "Do as I say but please do not do as I do "

 Moreover the UN Security Security Council is keeping mum on the subject. There is no UNSC resolution condemning the US for threatening world peace

 We condemn the arrogant self-serving hypocrisy of the US imperialists and the UNSC and support the independent right of the DPRK to self-defence.
