Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK , the Juche Idea Study Group of England, the UK Korean Friendship Association and the  UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017 Gathering to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu the  issued the following joint statement in support of the statement of vice-Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) comrade Pak Myong Guk which was issued on Friday 26th of May ;
  The US imperialists and other international reactionaries have been scurrying about like rats  to impose 'additional sanctions' on the DPRK an independent and sovereign state.  The US imperialists
have put the issue of the DPRK's measures for self-defence before the UN Security Council  and are trying to whip up an atmosphere of contention and hostility towards the DPRK.
   The UNSC is acting in an one sided , unfair and partisan way . As comrade Pak Myong Guk pointed out  " They termed the DPRK's rocket launches violation of "resolutions" of the UN Security Council. If the steps of the DPRK are the reason of their unreasonable behavior, it is an expression of their ignorance or deliberate defiance of the fact that the "resolutions" are just the product of double-standards devoid of any legal grounds.

    The DPRK requested the UN Security Council several times to clarify the legal grounds of its "resolutions on sanctions" on the DPRK and, to this end, proposed an international forum of legal experts to the UN Secretariat. But it has not yet received any answer"
  This is indeed true . The UNSC has done absolutely nothing  to address the issue of US threats to the DPRK such as military exercises. Other countries have carried out nuclear tests and missile tests without one word of rebuke from the UNSC ! The UNSC has never clarified the legality of the sanctions against the DPRK and have never acceded to the request to form an international legal forum to discuss the matter.
  What is worse is that some so-called  'anti-imperialist' countries appear to have thrown away their
principles(if they had any in the first place) and are siding with the US against the DPRK. Instead of
criticising the US imperialists for continually increasing tension on the Korean peninsula by  bringing in aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines.  Instead they have condemned the DPRK's just and righteous moves to increase self-defence.
  As the statement of vice-Foreign Minister comrade Pak Myong Guk says "To turn away from the root cause of the escalation of tensions but to denounce the DPRK's inevitable option for self-defence caused by it is just an act of "flattering" and "brown-nosing" to the backstage manipulators, rather than an expression of stand prompted by the respect for international law and regulations and the aspiration for world peace and stability.

    If these countries are truly interested in international peace and stability, they should not toe the U.S. line but take the lead in realizing international justice."
  Our organisations support the statement of comrade Pak Myong Guk ,vice-Foreign Minister of the DPRK  and also call for people to have no illusions about certain fake 'anti-imperialist ' countries.
