KCNA Report on Successful Conclusion of 80-day Campaign

 Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency made a report on the successful conclusion of the historic 80-day campaign through the all-people advance by dint of self-reliance by December 31, Juche 109 (2020).

According to the report, the 80-day campaign of loyalty has been characterized by the eruption of the strong desire and will of all people to bring about victory after victory as it was the all-people offensive to brilliantly conclude Juche 109 (2020) and significantly greet the 8th Congress of the Party by giving further momentum to the loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm that had been remarkably raised on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).

All the Party members and other people and service personnel of the People's Army cherished deep in mind the letter sent by the Party Central Committee and responded to the solemn call of the revolution with death-defying practice, thereby making valuable achievements through all-out charge of loyalty and fierce day and night campaign in a blitz war in all the fields for the building of a powerful socialist country.

The key target field of the 80-day campaign, the state emergency anti-epidemic work was further strengthened and anti-epidemic front was maintained as firm as an iron wall and modern socialist villages mushroomed in the areas for recovery from natural disasters in the course of which the miracle of turning adversity into favorable condition and the new history of great change were created.

In major fields of the socialist construction, lots of priceless achievements conducive to consolidating the foundation of the self-reliant national economy and to the improvement of the people's living standard were made, leaving shining pages on the records of the campaign of our Party.

The shining victory won in the 80-day campaign is the valuable fruition brought about by the outstanding leadership of our Party which opens up the era of new surge of the revolution by tiding over all difficulties in reliance on the people and their inexhaustible might, and it is also the striking manifestation of the tradition of loyalty of our people and the spirit of their heroic struggle by which the bright future was accelerated through grand revolutionary advance ahead of Party Congresses.

The report said that the Party Central Committee aroused the entire Party, the whole country and all the people to the honorable 80-day campaign toward the Party Congress at a crucial and responsible time of breaking through huge challenges before the country and opening up the wide avenue to fresh victory.

The 19th meeting of the Political Bureau of the 7th Central Committee of the WPK adopted a crucial decision on waging 80-day campaign to successfully greet the 8th Congress of the Party which would mark a historic turning point in our revolution with shining achievements.

The letter of the Party Central Committee which held great appeal for millions of members of the Workers' Party aroused the whole country to fresh endeavors and exploits as an encouraging appeal and immortal militant banner of patriotism.

All the regions, fields and units held army-people joint rallies and meetings to vow to greet the 8th Congress of the Party with shining victories, and launched the 80-day campaign of loyalty with all-out efforts.

The campaign was the one of devoted service for people for protecting the life and safety of our people and firmly consolidating the cradle of their happiness from the worldwide health crisis and the consecutive natural disasters.

The anti-epidemic wall that has been fortified as firm as an iron wall throughout the period of the 80-day campaign has been the noble manifestation of the fixed will of our Party and its transparent outlook on the people, determined to defend the security of the country and the people to the last despite whatever costs without the slightest concession in the struggle for the well-being of the people.

World-startling miracles were created one after another in the project sites for recovery from the natural disasters, foremost fronts to which our Party directed all-out efforts.

During the recovery period, people from all across the country sent lots of encouraging letters reflecting their sincere encouragement while the soldiers of the People's Army and builders created a fresh surge and innovations to live up to the earnest request of the people. This fully demonstrated the true picture of the great socialist family.

New innovative achievements were made one after another in all sites of economic construction during the campaign.

The agricultural workers across the country, fully aware of their responsibility and duty as the master responsible for the granary of the country, spurred the successful conclusion of the farming for this year and the preparations for next year's farming in the field of main thrust for defending socialism.

A hundred and scores of high-yielding farms were produced when taking the country as a whole.

Preparations for farming for next year have been pushed ahead in real earnest across the country as a result of which autumn ploughing and self-sufficing manure production goal were attained.

Proud achievements were made in the sites for construction amid high zeal of the working people.

All fields and units of the national economy waged a charge for increased production in the spirit of self-reliance and perseverance to attain the target set by the Party, and thus successfully accomplished plans for 52 main indices in the industrial field.

All the Party members, people and service personnel of the People's Army won a victory in the 80-day campaign by surmounting manifold hardships and displaying loyalty and this helped lead the great victory of October and the period of new surge of the revolution indebted to the sweats of loyalty shed by people straight to the 8th Congress of the Party. As a result, 2020 has been recorded brilliantly as the year of great struggle, unity and victory in the history of building a powerful socialist country.

The historic 80-day campaign clearly proved once again that nothing can hold in check the staunch advance of Juche Korea backed by the tremendous creativity and mentality of the people with the single-minded unity and self-reliance as the treasured sword, guided by the idea and under the leadership of the great Party. -0

DPRK is independent and self-reliant

 About a week or two ago , an old horse chestnut came up on twitter when someone said ‘ The DPRK and Cuba couldn't exist without China.’ . There are variations on this theme such as the idea that the DPRK was ‘dependent on Soviet aid ‘ and is the creation of the USSR or China or both and is even a copy of either of those two countries . These kinds of misunderstandings ( in some cases it is a genuine misunderstanding, in other cases it is based on a mistaken belief of worshiping big countries ) diminish and deny the achievements of People’s Korea , undermine solidarity with it and effectively block the dissemination of the Juche idea .

Such misconceptions about the DPRK are deliberately spread by the bourgeois mainstream media and bourgeois academic hack writers as well as revisionist and dogmatist elements.

Let's examine these arguments in detail . Firstly , the DPRK and the Juche idea are both firmly rooted in the anti-Japanese armed struggle led by President KIM IL SUNG . President KIM IL SUNG started the anti -Japanese independence struggle when he founded the Down With Imperialism Union in 1926 , this went over to armed struggle with the formation of the Korean Revolutionary Army in July 1930 and later the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army in April 1932 which was to become the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army(KPRA ) in 1934 . President KIM IL SUNG outlined the Juche Idea at the historic Kalun meeting of Korean revolutionary cadres in June 1930  at which he stated that “ Experience shows that in order to lead the revolution to victory, one must go among the masses of people and organize them, and solve all problems arising in the course of the revolution independently on one’s own responsibility in accord with the actual conditions, instead of relying on others.

Drawing on this lesson we regard it as most important to take the firm standpoint that the masters of the Korean revolution are the Korean people and that the Korean revolution should by all means be carried out by the Korean people themselves in a way suited to the actual conditions of their country.”

He also pointed out that ‘ "we fight the armed struggle with no state backing and no aid from outside "

The anti-Japanese guerillas fought in the spirit of self-reliance for 15 long years before the USSR joined the war against Japan on the  9th of August 1945 . China itself was still under the rule of the reactionary KMT and the People’s Republic of China did not come into being until 1949.

Therefore it is very wrong to see Korea’s liberation as solely the result of Soviet assistance . Indeed the anti-Japanese guerrillas fought without the support of a state or a rear base   The KPRA fought the revolutionary  spirit of self-reliance and the Juche Idea . They seized weapons from the Japanese aggressors or manufactured their own . Some hoped that the Soviet Union, the first socialist state, would supply them with a hand-grenade factory but this never materialised so they made their own hand-grenades the 'Yongil bomb'.

President KIM IL SUNG from early on whilst stressing the fraternal alliance with the socialist camp (which in those days stretched from East Berlin and Prague  to Vladivostok and Shanghai ) also emphasised independence in all matters . In 1947 he said that “For complete national independence and sovereignty and for national prosperity and development, one must build an independent national economy and thus firmly ensure economic independence.”

   President KIM IL SUNG also stressed the importance of building an independent munitions industry .

It is true that the DPRK was devastated beyond  imagination during the Fatherland Liberation War ( Korean War ) and received assistance from the socialist countries such as the USSR, China , Romania etc , to reconstruct the country .  Western and south Korean sources say  2.6% of revenues in the DPRK budget in 1960.( quoted in article by Milan Juche Idea Study Centre and KFA Italy) . This of course is a fraction of what south Korea received from the US and other countries . It is also likely that south Korea inflated the amount of aid received by the DPRK . President KIM IL SUNG in his famous speech “

“On Socialist Construction In The Democratic People’s Republic Of Korea And The South Korean Revolution” pointed out that  the DPRK had received about $550 million in aid from the socialist countries . however he said ‘ But in those days, too, it was our principle to enlist the forces of our people and our national resources to the fullest; at the same time we also tried to make effective use of the aid from the fraternal countries. In fact, it was our own forces that played the decisive role in postwar reconstruction. There is no need to make further mention of the achievements scored in the economic construction of our country in subsequent years.’

Those who prattle about Soviet and Chinese aid to the DPRK miss the point ; the decisive factor is not outsiders but the efforts of the Korean people themselves.

 Rather than being a generous benefactor to the DPRK , the USSR actually imposed its own sanctions of sorts on the DPRK in 1962 when the DPRK refused to kneel down and accept the revisionist line of the Khruschov revisionists . Some sources also say that in 1975 the USSR drastically increased the price of oil to the DPRK.

  As to the idea that the DPRK would not survive without China whilst it is true that historically the two countries have a close relationship but the DPRK is at the same time independent , it is its own master and is nobody’s puppet .

  In fact back in 1992 China asked the DPRK to settle foreign trade accounts in dollars . China voted for all the UN Security Council sanctions against the DPRK . Some say that China secretly breaks the sanctions against the DPRK but isn’t this the position of the extreme neo-con China haters in the US and elsewhere ? Surely China would not vote for sanctions only to break them deliberately.

The DPRK's independent national economy can produce almost any product from a wrist watch to a nuclear missile. In the 1970s the DPRK was able to produce 98% of its own machinery and 75% of fuel and industrial materials.Whilst it may be true that a big proportion of the DPRK's foreign trade is with China it needs to be stressed that in the DPRK foreign trade is not a big proportion of economic output . Foreign trade is a small percentage of gross national product in the DPRK unlike the south Korean puppet regime which has 88% of its gross national product coming from foreign trade and is therefore highly dependent. Thus a large part of the DPRK's GDP would be unaffected by sanctions. $ 1 billion only amounts to about 3.5 per cent of the Western estimate of GDP for the DPRK but as the real GDP of the DPRK is in fact higher it is a much lower figure.

 The DPRK economy has become more self-reliant since the 1990s . I can remember visiting the DPRK in the 1990s and going around the shops  in those days many of the goods on the shelves were produced in China but nowadays the shops in the DPRK are stocked with domestically sourced products . A member of the Korean Friendship Association who studied on a course at KIM IL SUNG University and lived in the DPRK for 3 months said it was possible to live on DPRK products only for the whole 3 months . Moreover the DPRK this year (2020) shut its border in January but has survived without a problem for nearly 12 months . This fact alone dashes the argument that ‘the DPRK couldn’t survive without China ‘ to shreds .

  

The DPRK based on Juche and self-reliance can stood on its own two feet .

Refuting media slanders about People's Korea and the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea

 As we approach the holding of the historic 8th Congress of the great Workers Party of Korea , the ruling party of People’s Korea , the media is intensifying its campaign to smear and slander People’s Korea with the aim of undermining the successful holding of the Congress and denigrate the great achievements of People’s Korea in 2020.

The usual suspects of the mainstream media plus outlets the Moonie owned UPI.com and of course NKNews have put the boot in . They have been joined by the Russian Sputnik which shamefully repeated lies from the south Korean media . Now Al Jazzerra has jumped on the bandwagon . Some may think Al Jazzerra is ‘progressive ‘ and ‘anti-imperialist ‘  but it is in fact owned by feudal Qatari bourgeoisie , it actually supported the overthrow of Col Gadhafi in Libya .

The DPRK economy is not ‘Tanking ‘ as claimed by Al Jazzera but is growing rapidly . This year numerous power stations have gone into operation in the DPRK , the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory  and other industrial enterprises were built . What was most striking was that new housing was rapidly built in flood damaged areas of the DPRK in double quick time and without outside aid . 

  Indeed the DPRK shut its borders in January and has lasted 12 months with the borders closed when some countries would have had problems after a few days , or even hours if they closed their borders . Many people regrettably still do not understand self-reliance and think outside aid or assistance is an absolute necessity .

The DPRK has Zero Covid 19 cases , Zero Covid 19 deaths  and this has been confirmed by the World Health Organisation . Compare to south Korea with  60,740 Covid 19 cases and  900 Covid 19 deaths , the UK with 2,432,888 Covid 19 cases and 72 , 548 Covid deaths and finally the USA ( the so-called ‘land of the free’ )  with 20,216,991 Covid cases and 350,778 Covid 19 deaths . You can judge which system is the superior one ; Juche socialism !

There is no doubt that the 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea will be a historic congress that will pave the way to new and greater victories for Juche Korea led by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN .

22nd Meeting of Political Bureau of 7th Central Committee of WPK Held

                                                                     

 Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- The 22nd meeting of the Political Bureau of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) was held at the office building of the Party Central Committee on December 29.

Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, was present at the meeting.

Present there were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and members and alternate members of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee.

Under the guidance of Supreme Leader of the Party, state and armed forces Kim Jong Un, Kim Jae Ryong, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, presided over the meeting.

The meeting studied the preparations for the 8th Congress of the WPK.

The meeting examined and made confirmation as for the qualifications of the delegates who had been elected at the conferences of the WPK organizations at all levels, discussed and confirmed the proposals for forming the presidium, members of platform and secretariat of the 8th Congress of the Party and schedules according to the agendas of the Party Congress and deliberated on the documents to be presented to the Party Congress.

The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK made exhaustive discussion on the above issues and approved agendas.

The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK adopted a decision on holding the 8th Congress of the WPK early in January, 2021.

The meeting appreciated that innovative achievements and progress were made in all fields during the 80-day campaign thanks to the exceptional political enthusiasm of the entire Party and all the people, providing excellent conditions for the 8th Congress of the Party, and all the preparations for the Party Congress are going off smoothly. It emphasized that the success of the Party Congress should be thoroughly guaranteed by keeping on the effective preparations.

Dear comrades ,

 I read the "Morning Star ' article " Covid-19 and the socialist states' by Stewart McGill ( "Morning Star '  8th of December ) with interest but was very disappointed to say the least by a massive and glaring omission from the article ; the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).  Laos was also omitted as well . Curiously the article included Kerala which is not actually a country but a state within a country with a very reactionary country.

  Of the socialist countries the DPRK is most exemplary in  dealing with Covid 19 because  it has been confirmed by the World Health Organisation as having Zero cases and Zero deaths . This is in contrast to the UK with 68, 307 deaths (at the time of writing ) and also the US occupied neo-colonial entity in south Korea recorded  52,550 cases and 739 deaths . Ironically some on the Left even hold up south Korea as some kind of model.

  The DPRK took immediate action against Covid 19 by closing their borders in January and took anti-epidemic measures such as wholesale disinfection of public areas , getting people to wear masks and a number of other measures . A suspected case in the city of Kaesong was dealt with by sealing off the city and sending special aid to the city.

  Another remarkable thing is that the DPRK closed its borders 11 months ago but survives whereas the UK is a mess due to a few days of being shut off from Europe . Self-reliance really does work and we should be publicising the DPRK’s example to the world . Sadly a lot of the so-called Left in Britain and elsewhere maintain a deafening silence on the DPRK and Juche or even are  dismissive or outright hostile . This is an old outdated attitude and needs to change .

Is the DPRK facing a 'Famine '?

                                                                          

A couple of people have asked us to comment about allegations about the DPRK and food shortages . In particular a video from the reactionary Murdoch owned 'South China Morning Post ' was shared in a supposedly pro DPRK Facebook group . The video claims that the DPRK ' faces the worst famine since the 1990s ' .

  Lets straighten out a few facts first , shall we ? Firstly , the Western media vastly exaggerated and distorted  the  difficulties and challenges that the DPRK faced in 1990 due to purely external factors . Whilst there were food shortages caused by several years of massive natural disasters as well the US blockade of the DPRK , there was not mass starvation . The DPRK is a socialist country so it took measures to ensure that everyone got food .  As UK KFA Chairman Dr Dermot Hudson wrote in his book  " The Famine That Never Was - the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in the ‘ Arduous March ‘ period The myth of famine in the DPRK exposed'

 "It is very clear that the so-called ‘famine ‘ of the 1990s in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea did not really happen although it was a very tough and challenging time for the DPRK and its people , so hard it was described as a second ‘arduous march ‘. The population statistics show that the population did not decrease during the 1990s but rather increased . Moreover, visiting the DPRK in 1996 and seeing not only Pyongyang but other places in the DPRK I was convinced that the reports in the Western media about the DPRK were untrue. I did not see a famine stricken country , yes I saw a country coping with natural disasters and struggling against sanctions but there were no people dying on the streets of hunger .

   Because of its policy of self-reliance and many decades of socialist development the DPRK was about to cope with and mitigate the problems created by flooding . The stories about ‘famine ‘ and ‘mass starvation ‘ came largely from the pens of journalists of the capitalist press and were deliberately intended to defame and denigrate socialism , such stories were part of a wider regime effort . However some on the Left who were ignorant of the DPRK and its achievements all too readily believed them and repeated them . This is due to the fact that some people wrongly saw the DPRK as the creation of the USSR and thought it was dependent on the USSR and would collapse or face severe difficulties once the USSR collapsed . Also because they studied the achievements of the DPRK they wrongly and falsely saw the DPRK as a basketcase rather than an industrial , an independent socialist power '.

  The DPRK 's population actually grew during the 1990s by about 2 to 3 million rather than millions of people dying of starvation .

 Secondly , the situation in the DPRK compared to the 1990s is very different. During the past decade the DPRK has experienced very rapid growth . Service industries have  The DPRK has become more self-reliant . Nowadays shops in the DPRK are sourced with DPRK made products whereas in the 1990s it was mostly Chinese goods and other imported goods .

Many so-called Western 'experts ' on the DPRK to say nothing of Western journalists do not understand self-reliance in the DPRK and as a result fail to see the true reality of the country.

  Talk of a so-called 'new famine ' in the DPRK is not new . In August 2017 the notorious right wing tabloid (which supported the fascists in the 1930s)  the "Daily Mail'  claimed that the DPRK was facing the 'worst famine in two decades ' . 3 years and 4 months later , no famine  !.

Delegations of the British Group for the Study of the Juche and the UK Korean Friendship Association visiting the DPRK in 2018 and 2019 saw no signs of 'famine ' and starvation ' at all . In fact in 2019 the DPRK had a bumper harvest.

The fables of a so-called 'new famine ' are being peddled by the brain washers of the imperialist mainstream media to distract from and slander the successful holding of the historic 8th Congress of the Workers ' Party of Korea . It is also anti Juche , anti-self'reliance and anti-socialist propaganda designed to denigrate the great self-reliant achievements of People's Korea .The false stories are being spread deliberately to divert attention from the massive Covid 19 crisis in the Western countries caused by the total incompetence of Western rulers .(and the DPRK has no Covid 19) .

 So basically the answer is that the DPRK is not 'facing famine ' but faces of bright future of self-reliant , people -centred socialism .

On the importance of the 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea -special by Dr Dermot Hudson

                                                                   

  

Very soon the historic 8th Congress of the great Workers’ Party of Korea will be held in People’s Korea . The Workers Party of Korea is the supreme general staff of the Korean revolution and organiser and guide of the victories of the Korean people . Guided by the great leaders comrades KIM IL SUNG , KIM JONG IL and KIM JONG UN it has victoriously led seven decades of revolution and construction in People’s Korea  crowned with great achievements . 

The Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) will be looked upon with great excitement by the world progressive peoples. The WPK is well known and famous for its adherence to revolutionary principles . It was the WPK in the 1960s that opposed both modern revisionism and Left opportunism , following a line of strict independence  and avoiding slavish submission to big powers. When socialism in the USSR was frustrated by the betrayal of the criminal modern revisionists , the agents of imperialism in the socialist camp, the WPK led by comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL proudly held high the socialist red flag with comrade KIM JONG IL declaring  ‘ Socialism is a Science ‘  and’ Expect No Change from Me ‘ . The WPK set out the Pyongyang Declaration ‘ Let Us Defend and Advance the cause of socialism ‘ . 

  The WPK is looked on as the vanguard of the international communist movement . Parties like the old Communist Party of the Soviet Union had been looked up to by many and seen as the leading party  however it collapsed and disappeared , leaving many communists at a loss . Similarly a ruling party of a certain country  plays only a minimal role in the international communist movement  preferring to keep contacts with capitalist businessmen . There was a view in the past that only a big country and a big party could be looked to up but experience has shown that this is wrong , big countries betray socialism .

     The 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea is being held  nearly 5 years after the 7th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea . At the 7th congress of the Workers Party of Korea held in May 2016 Marshal KIM JONG UN strongly stressed the people-first principle saying that ‘ "Let the whole Party make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the great people!"–this is the fighting slogan our Party should be holding high at present. We should regard it as an iron rule to respect the people, defend their destiny and give the highest and absolute priority to their interests and comfort.”  .At the same time he also emphasised the necessity of self-reliance and self-development  pointing out that ‘ Today we have nothing but our own strength to rely on. No one is willing to help us and see our country reunified, powerful, well-off and flourishing. It is only when we are possessed of the spirit of self-reliance and self-development that we can go through any trials and hardships and achieve the greatest success even in the worst conditions. We should reject big-power worship and dependence on foreign forces, and push ahead with building a powerful socialist country with our own strength, technology and resources and in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude. We should also achieve national reunification, the long-cherished desire of our nation, on our own by strengthening our motive force’

  In the years since the 7th Congress of the WPK the DPRK has seen many great achievements under the leadership of the Workers Party of Korea guided by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN . Despite the heaviest ever and most draconian sanctions imposed the US led hostile forces  the DPRK completed numerous large scale construction projects such as the building of Ryomyong Street , the construction of Samjiyon City , the construction of the Sunchon Phosphatic fertilizer factory and the construction of numerous power stations.  I can remember visiting the DPRK in April 2016 , the area of Ryomyong Street was just bare earth but when I came back a year later in April a whole new street the size of a small city had appeared .

   Adhering to the people-first principle the WPK and respected  Marshal KIM JONG UN ensured that flood damaged areas were quickly rehabilitated  and people given new homes free of charge in 2016 and 2020 . This was a miracle only possible under the people-centred socialist system and the leadership of the Workers Party of Korea .

   Another miracle that unfolded under the leadership of the WPK was the fact that whilst the Covid 19 Pandemic has raged across the globe claiming millions of lives and disrupting the economic and social lives of many nations , no a single case of Covid 19 has occurred in the DPRK , a great achievement .

 During the period since the 7th Congress of the WPK the self-defence capabilities of Juche Korea has been increased considerably creating a level playing field for the DPRK in the international arena . The DPRK conducted a nuclear warhead test in September 2016  and tested a Hydrogen bomb test in September 2017 . The Hwasong 14 Intercontinental Missile (ICBM) made its debut on the 4th of July 2017 (US independence day ) and the Hwasong 15 ICBM was tested in November 2017. The DPRK had finally crossed the nuclear finishing line despite the efforts of ill-intentioned and dishonest forces to stop it . The US president Trump had no choice but to enter into negotiations with the DPRK.

 In the years since the 7th Congress of the WPK the DPRK external relations expanded massively . Marshal KIM JONG UN paid visits to China ,Vietnam , Russia and Singapore . The President of Cuba visited the DPRK which further deepened the friendship between the two fraternal countries.

 Adhering to the principles laid down at the 7th Congress of the WPK ,Marshal KIM JONG UN has declared war on bureaucracy as well as on imperialist ideological and cultural infiltration  and also anti-socialist ideas and practices . Marshal KIM JONG UN has mercilessly criticised officials even demoted some people and castigated incompetence . A law on rejecting reactionary ideology and culture has been adopted by the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly.

 Now the Korean people are rushing forward , in the spirit of self -reliance  , in the 80 Day Campaign to greet the historic 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea . In November the Korean Central News Agency reported that  “The targets for the first month of the 80-day campaign have been accomplished on such major indices as electricity, iron ore, steel, coal and cement in the industrial field including metal, chemical, power, coal and machine industries and railway transport”

We are sure that the 8th Congress of the Great Workers Party of Korea will be very successful  , it will chart a scientific programme for building a thriving socialist country and a people’s paradise in the land of Korea , the land of the morning calm . The 8th Congress of the WPK will be the launchpad for an exciting and  fantastic journey into the future !
