Warm greetings from Pyongyang!
December 17th marks the 9th year since the demise of the DPRK leader Kim Jong Il, one of the most outstanding politicians in the history of mankind.
Many years have passed since the year of 2011 when the Korean people were plunged into the great national mourning, but the feelings of reverence and yearning of the Korean people and the world progressive people for the Leader Kim Jong Il, the great man with a few parallels in the history born in Korea, are growing stronger as the days go by.
In the DPRK, socialism has advanced straight ahead along the road of victory for decades in the past even under the rapidly-changing political situation of the world without experiencing any twists and turns. In particular, Korea has defended its ideas and turned into a politico-ideological power, an invincible military power and a bulwark of socialism remaining unperturbed in the face of the dogged attempts made by the United States and its followers to isolate and smother it.
Witnessing the realities of the socialist Korea, the international community recollects with deep emotion the exploits of the Korean Leader Kim Jong Il who safeguarded socialism from the extreme anti-socialist attacks by imperialist forces.
The victory of Korea achieved in the showdown with imperialism is the victory of DPRK leader Kim Jong Il's theory of ideology.
On the basis of the philosophical principle of the Juche idea that man is the master of everything and decides everything, he founded the Juche theory of ideology that man's ideology is fundamental to revolution and construction and that ideology decides everything, and the leadership of Kim Jong Il who has led the socialist cause to victory by attaching importance to ideology and bringing its might into full play clearly demonstrated its force in the battle fought in defence of socialism against the US-led imperialist allies towards the end of the 20th century.
The DPRK's confrontation with the US, which attempted to isolate and crush it politically and militarily and strangle it economically from the 1990s onwards and eventually induced it to "change its social system", was a cold war aimed at defending its socialism.
In this war, Korea had to fight against the formidable allied forces led by the US, with no flank or no rear to give it support. Many people were concerned about the fate of Korea, and "its early collapse" was clamoured about as an accomplished fact in the West. Ideology was precisely what the leader held up as a powerful weapon in the DPRK's all-out confrontation with imperialism to defend socialism which the Korean people consider to be their life and lifeblood. The unique Songun policy initiated by him is an embodiment of his lucid theory of ideology.
The single-minded unity of the leader, the Party, and the army are an indestructible weapon more powerful than nuclear weapons. Thanks to this great perfect unity of the leader, all the army and the people formed in defence of a single ideology and a single ideal, the socialism of Korea has ultimately overcome the grave challenges and ushered in a new turn.
As a result, the schemes of hostile forces to frustrate socialist Korea were shattered and Korean socialism became an invincible bulwark of world socialism. The DPRK gave a great encouragement to the people of many countries who were hopelessly thinking that socialism was terminated.
The theory of ideology is gloriously being carried forward by Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Chairman of State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.
Under the wise leadership of comrade Kim Jong Un, Korean people are breaking through the unprecedented sanctions and pressure by the U.S. and its followers and exerting every effort on building a socialist power under the circumstances of non-infection case amid the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Victory is on the side of justice and truth, and Korean people, who are translating its ideal and dreams into reality firmly rallied around comrade Kim Jong Un, will surely achieve victory in its ultimate confrontation against imperialism.
