Truth of Dangerous Trip for Nuclear War Disclosed: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- Recently, Yoon Suk Yeol, the puppet traitor, traveled across the Atlantic to the U.S.

This trip, aimed to draw up a sinister plan between the master and the stooge to annihilate the DPRK, is the most hostile, aggressive and provocative, dangerous trip for a nuclear war.

The U.S. and the south Korean puppets regarded the proposal for raising the practicality of the U.S. "extended deterrence" as the main topic for discussion at the so-called "summit talks" and plotted the issue of strengthening conspiracy against the DPRK. Then, they fabricated and announced "Washington Declaration" and a "joint statement".

The "Washington Declaration" on raising the practicality of the "extended deterrence" provided by the U.S. is a typical product of the heinous hostile policy towards the DPRK.

A scrutiny into the two main contents being the essential part of the "Washington Declaration" clearly reveals the cunning scheme of the U.S.

With such contents as the establishment of a "Nuclear Consultative Group" to allow the south Korean puppets to take an active part in consultations on "nuclear weapons employment" and the strengthening of "extended deterrence" through extending the deployment of U.S. strategic assets to the Korean Peninsula including a strategic nuclear submarine and improving combined military exercises and simulation training, anyone can know well that they are making a nuclear war against the DPRK a fait accompli.

Until now, confidential and many other talks have been held between the U.S. and the puppets and every time they took place, documents filled with bellicose phrases have been published. But, there is no precedent that they designated the DPRK as a target for a nuclear attack publicly to the world and nakedly stated regular and sustained deployment of strategic nuclear assets to the Korean Peninsula, like this time.

The "joint statement", too, is absolutely identical with a dangerous nuclear war plot putting up the signboard of security, as it documents the Strategic Cybersecurity Cooperation Framework between the U.S. and the puppets and confirms the "strengthened trilateral cooperation" among the U.S., the south Korean puppets and Japan and their real-time sharing of information on the DPRK and the regular military drills for more effectively "deterring and responding" to "nuclear and missile threats" of the DPRK.

Through this, the U.S. and the south Korean puppets made their scheme for invasion against the DPRK more clear.

So far, the U.S. has staged large-scale combined military exercises and all sorts of war drills against the DPRK together with its vassal forces, introducing diverse strategic assets and colossal numbers of aggression forces into the Korean Peninsula and its vicinities.

This time, it stipulated that it deploys strategic nuclear bombers, nuclear carrier task forces and even strategic nuclear submarines near the territorial waters of the DPRK and makes it public, talking about further enhancing "regular visibility", which means regular and sustained deployment and active disclosure of nuclear strategic assets. This is a situation that can never be overlooked.

What is more serious is that U.S. president Biden dared to make frantic and reckless remarks about "the end of regime" towards the DPRK while becoming vociferous about a "swift, overwhelming and decisive response" at a press conference after the talks.

The above-said utterance made under the very eyes of the world to destroy a sovereign state is a savage act that can be done only by the U.S., a hooligan state of a rare kind and an empire of evil.

By doing so, the U.S. revealed by itself the falsity and impudence of the gibberish about "dialogue" that it has "no hostile intents" to the DPRK, and its inveterate hostility towards the DPRK that has reached its marrow.

The unstable military and political situation on the Korean Peninsula created by ceaseless war drills and regular and sustained deployment of U.S. strategic assets from the outset of this year has reached a more dangerous phase due to the recent "declaration", "statement" and reckless remarks.

As shown by the very hostile rhetorical expressions and evident actions of the U.S. and the puppets, they, in the future, too, are scheming to persist in nuclear war moves against the DPRK under the pretext of "providing extended deterrence" and "strengthened alliance". Under such situation, it is quite natural for the DPRK to bolster up its military deterrence corresponding to the grave security environment of the present and the future.

The traitor Yoon's visit to the U.S. made it possible to reconfirm the hostile intention of the U.S. and the puppets which can never be changed but has become more reckless. This shows that the DPRK should neither hesitate nor stop for even a little and even a moment to become stronger and more thoroughly prepared.

We cannot but talk about the shameful and disgusting behavior of the puppet traitor Yoon Suk Yeol who made during his cowardly visit to the U.S.

The traitor made such foolish acts of subordinating south Korea's economy to the U.S., impudently interfering in the acute issues of Taiwan and Ukraine which are related to the core interests of neighboring countries and getting frantic in the efforts to build the triangular military alliance while letting loose reckless remarks that there is no need to examine the past of Japan. All these facts clearly show the slavish nature of a servant who seeks to curry favor with his master at any cost.

The true colors of the top-class traitor obsessed with confrontation with fellow countrymen have been fully revealed.

The traitor let loose a string of rhetoric that "the united determination with the U.S." is important to contain the DPRK, "he has full confidence in U.S. extended deterrence commitments" and "he will decisively respond to the threat from the north on the basis of stronger combined defence posture", sparking off the resentment of not only the people of the DPRK but all the fellow countrymen.

The puppet traitor Yoon Suk Yeol's treacherous and submissive acts to the U.S. are turning south Korea into a U.S. arsenal and advanced base for a nuclear war and hurting the security and interests of not only the Korean Peninsula but also the region.

The dangerous nuclear war moves of the U.S. and the puppet group running amuck in stifling the DPRK while denying its existence can never be pardoned, and they will have to pay dearly for their rash acts. -0-

On the 28th of April comrade Kim Yo Jong , vice department director of the Central Committee(CC)  of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK ) issued a statement in response to the US-south Korea 'summit '( in reality a meeting between master and servant ) and the remarks made by Biden at the summit . The statement fully clarifies the stand of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the bellicose threats of the US imperialists and south Korean puppets.

Comrade Kim Yo Jong in her statement points out the US and south Korean puppet war provocation moves are destablising the region.Moreover the plan of the US imperialists for continous , regular and open deployment of nuclear strategic assets in south Korea will compell the DPRK to take more decisive action to defend itself .

In her statement comrade Kim Yo Jong takes aim at the utterance of Biden about 'ending 'the existence of the DPRK . Biden's remarks show his extreme warmongering  and the inveterate hostility of US imperialism. Of course such a remark by Sleepy Joe Biden may be due to senility on Biden's part , however comrade Kim Yo Jong  states that "But when we consider that this expression was personally used by the president of the U.S., our most hostile adversary, it is threatening rhetoric for which he should be prepared for far too great an after-storm that will not be easy for us to deliver."

People's Korea will further enhance its nuclear deterrent and will look to further perfecting the nuclear deterrent to carry out its second mission. The DPRK will fully strengthen and exercise its right to self-defence .

Vice Department Director of C.C., WPK Kim Yo Jong Clarifies Stand through KCNA

Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- Kim Yo Jong, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, made public the following stand through the Korean Central News Agency on April 28:

South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol’s recent visit to Washington was an occasion for us to have much clearer understanding about the root-cause and physical entity disturbing peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and the region.

After the summit on April 26, the chief executives of the U.S. and south Korea issued the so-called "Washington Declaration", specifying the ways to strengthen the "extended deterrence", thus stipulating their choice and will to act against the DPRK.

The "Washington Declaration" fabricated by the U.S. and south Korean authorities is a typical product of their extreme anti-DPRK hostile policy reflecting the most hostile and aggressive will of action. As such, it will only result in making peace and security of Northeast Asia and the world be exposed to more serious danger, and it is an act that can thus never be welcomed.

The formation of "Nuclear Consultative Group", the regular and continuous deployment of U.S. nuclear strategic assets, and the frequent military exercises made the regional politico-military situation unable to extricate itself from the currents of instability. This provides us with an environment in which we are compelled to take more decisive action in order to deal with the new security environment.

Another thing that we cannot let pass nor overlook is the fact that the chief executive of the enemy state officially and personally used the word "the end of regime" under the eyes of the world.

Would we simply regard it as the man’s senility?

It may be taken as a nonsensical remark from the person in his dotage who is not at all capable of taking the responsibility for security and the future of the U.S., an old man with no future, as it is too much for him to serve out two-year remainder of his office term.

But when we consider that this expression was personally used by the president of the U.S., our most hostile adversary, it is threatening rhetoric for which he should be prepared for far too great an after-storm that will not be easy for us to deliver.

Obsessed with overconfidence in strength, he was too miscalculating and irresponsibly brave.

This time we reconfirmed the hostility of the rulers and military warmongers of Washington and Seoul towards our country, which cannot be interpreted otherwise and has become too obvious. This opportunity gave us a clear answer as to what we should do in the future and for what we should be fully prepared.

So serious is the development of the situation.

Yoon Suk Yeol, this time again, said that he will build the capability of overwhelming response including "south Korea’s three-axis defence system" and adopt the punitive posture. He also made it clear that the "south Korea"-U.S. joint exercises and training will be more intensive.

It would be a bit hard to understand the mentality of such a fool that is so grateful for getting a nominal "declaration" as an "offering" from the U.S. and expresses "his absolute trust in the U.S. firm commitment to the extended deterrence". However, we will keep watching to what extent he will go testing his mettle, putting the security into crisis with his incompetence.

The pipe dream of the U.S. and south Korea will henceforth be faced with the entity of more powerful strength.

We are convinced once again of the fact that the enhancement of the nuclear war deterrent, especially the second mission of the nuclear war deterrent, should be brought to further perfection.

We know exactly what we are supposed to do.

The more the enemies are dead set on staging nuclear war exercises, and the more nuclear assets they deploy in the vicinity of the Korean peninsula, the stronger the exercise of our right to self-defence will become in direct proportion to them. -0-

Explosives Exposing U.S. Imperialists' Brutal Atrocities Discovered in Sopho Area

Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- Various kinds of bullets and explosives, exposing the brutal and destructive massacres committed by the U.S. imperialists during the Korean War, have been discovered at the construction site for a new street in the Sopho area of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

The explosive removers detected and disposed of the hateful bullets and explosives threatening the safety of people.

Those bullets and explosives, discovered at the construction site eight times from March, are vivid evidence showing the unethical crimes of the U.S. imperialists, chieftain of aggression and massacres. They are now touching off the towering resentment and hatred of the Korean people and service personnel.

70 years have passed since the ceasefire of the war, but the unexploded bombs dropped by the U.S. imperialists were still in a dangerous state, giving off smell of gunpowder.

The remnants of massacres and destruction, found not only at the construction site in the Sopho area but also other parts of the country, expose to the eyes of the world the barbarity of the U.S. imperialist aggressors, the sworn enemy of the Korean people, and harden the Korean youths' will to annihilate the enemy. -0-

A review of 'The Great Conspiracy Against People's Korea ' by a British writer and political activist

The title of this splendid book is inspired by ‘The Great Conspiracy Against Russia’, by Michael Sayers and Albert Kahn, published in 1946, which spelt out the continued capitalist assault on the Soviet Union. Dr Hudson performs a similar, very necessary, task by telling the truth about the assault on the DPRK.

On 8 September 1945, three weeks after Korea’s liberation, US troops landed at Inchon and seized control of south Korea. General MacArthur issued Decree No. 1 declaring military rule in south Korea. General Hodge, Commander of US forces in south Korea, issued another decree saying that the military government would punish all those who disobeyed its orders or criticised it. 

The ensuing Syngman Rhee regime in the south was an anti-communist, fascist despotism which ruled by terror, a true police state. In the years 1945 to 1950, it was responsible for killing some 500,000 people in the south. 

Rhee talked constantly of ‘marching north’ and ‘destroying communism’. From 1947 onwards, he sent raiding parties into the north. After the USA created the ‘American Military Advisory Group’, the raids increased in frequency and intensity.

On 26 January 1950, the USA concluded the US-south Korea Mutual Defense Treaty. On 14 April, a then secret directive of the US National Security Council, NSC 68, authorised the start of the US war of aggression against Korea.

In June 1950, US Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, the main architect of the policy of ‘rollback’ - to overthrow socialist governments everywhere - visited south Korea, and spent much of his time in the border zone. On 23 June, south Korean forces launched an artillery bombardment of areas in the north. The New York Tribune of 26 June reported, “south Korean troops drove across the 38th parallel, which forms the frontier, to capture the manufacturing town of Haeju, just north of the line.”

The USA demanded an immediate meeting of the UN Security Council. This met without the presence of the Soviet Union, or of the People’s Republic of China (which the USA and its allies had kept out of its legitimate seat). Nobody from the DPRK was allowed to present its case to the Council. The Council broke its own rules, which stipulated that only the full Council could mandate any action, when it then illegally allowed ‘UN’ forces to intervene in Korea. These ‘UN’ forces were actually just forces from the USA and a few of its more biddable allies, including Britain’s Labour government. 

Dr Hudson observes that “the war waged by the US imperialists was not just a war to destroy the DPRK and its people’s democratic system but a genocidal war of extermination against the Korean nation.”

Ever since 1950, the US government and its allies have maintained a war against the DPRK. They have used the methods of war - terrorism, sabotage and espionage. They have imposed comprehensive sanctions. In 1962, the Khrushchev government added to the pressure when it imposed de facto sanctions by cutting off all economic and military cooperation with the DPRK.

In addition to war and sanctions, the USA has a third plank to its anti-socialist strategy - the constant pressure to undermine socialism through ideological campaigns. These use ‘NGOs’ (almost all funded and directed by the US and/or British governments), defectors, media organisations focused on the DPRK, an incessant barrage of propaganda from bodies like the BBC, all whipping up hatred and contempt for the DPRK and its leaders. No story is too absurd, no allegation too foul, for them to use.

A review of " The Famine That Never Was - the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in the ‘ Arduous March ‘ period" by a British writer and political activist

This useful publication demolishes the big lie that the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea suffered from a famine that killed up to three million people in the 1990s. The lie is a key part of the US/British propaganda campaign designed to discredit and eventually overthrow the government of that country.

In the early 1990s, Yeltsin’s counter-revolutionary government in Russia tore up its trade agreements with the DPRK. Then China, a major trading partner of the DPRK, demanded that the DPRK settle foreign trade accounts in dollars. The USA and its allies tightened their blockade of the DPRK. In the mid-1990s the DPRK suffered several consecutive years of natural disasters: floods in 1995 and 1996, a drought in 1997. 

In a socialist society there may be natural disasters which cause temporary decreases in food production, but unlike capitalist societies where any food shortages would be made worse by hoarding, speculation and profiteering, socialist countries can ensure fair distribution of limited resources so that everyone gets enough. Planning the economy and controlling prices mitigates the effects of losses caused by natural disasters.

 In June 1996, a delegation of the Juche Idea Study of England visited the DPRK. If the media reports about the DPRK were true, when these eyewitnesses were in Pyongyang they would have seen people collapsing from hunger in the streets, and people begging for food, rummaging in dustbins for food, as one could see any day in, say, downtown Detroit. Nobody was queuing for food, nobody was besieging food banks. When the delegates travelled through many of the country’s rural areas, they saw no signs of crop failures, no starving people, no famine.

                   

The people of the DPRK are resilient. They coped with the natural disasters, just as they had coped with the far greater devastation caused by the US war of Aggression of 1950-1953. In that genocidal attack, US forces killed over 1.2 million people and destroyed over two million homes, over 28,000 schools, and over 50,000 factories. They destroyed railways, roads, bridges, reservoirs and dams, causing huge human, material and environmental damage. The people of the DPRK rebuilt their country, despite the continued US hostility and blockade.

They continued to provide high levels of social support, including virtually free housing, free education, free health care and low-cost food provision; there were no cuts or austerity.

Dr Hudson cites the World Bank figures for the DPRK’s population - 20.29 million in 1990, and 22.93 million in 2000, an increase of 2.64 million. The Worldometer site showed that the population increased by over a million between 1995 and 2000. Hardly likely if the country had indeed suffered a massive famine in those years.

Five years ago on a bright April spring day there took place at Panmunjom a summit between the leaders of the DPRK and south Korea.. The April 27th Summit is a great landmark in the history of the struggle for Korean reunification. Thanks to the hard-working efforts of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN who worked tirelessly for the cause of reunification, earnestly implementing the teachings of the great leaders' comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL on Juche-based Korean reunification, the summit at Panmunjom was held on the 27th of April 2018 and a joint declaration was signed. Previously inter-Korean relations had been frozen for a decade owing to the negative actions of the ultra-right conservatives in south Korea . In fact, inter-Korean relations had not only been frozen but had become very tense due to the previous Park Geun Hye fascist regime and the reactionary US imperialists.

   Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN adroitly defused the tensions on the Korean peninsula and boldly met the south Korean chief executive at Panmunjom. The summit produced the Panmunjom
Declaration which was a ray of light penetrating the dark storm clouds of war that were hanging over
the Korean peninsula and the world.
    The Panmunjom Declaration basically reaffirms the principles of independent reunification and paves the way for a lasting peace on the Korean peninsula as well as the final independent reunification of the Korean nation.
  The April 27 Panmunjom Declaration is a banner for peace and reunification on the Korean peninsula. We support the struggle of the entire Korean people to implement it and denounce the pro-US anti-reunification forces in south Korea.

The US imperialists and south Korean fascist puppets held a summit in the US  at which the imperialist warmonger and liberal fascist  'Sleepy Joe ' Biden went as far as to threaten People's Korea with nuclear annihilation saying that if the DPRK took self-defensive measures against the US, it would result in the "the end of whatever regime". This is a most brazen and bellicose threat against People's Korea and shows the intent of the US reactionaries to destroy people-centred socialism.

The US also announced the open deployment of US submarines equipped with nuclear weapons. Of course, the presence of US submarines with nukes is not new and the US has on many occasions brought strategic nuclear assets into the Korean peninsula. What is different is that is being done very openly and on a permanent basis and with brazen threats.

It is the US that created the nuclear tension on the Korean peninsula by bringing nuclear weapons into south Korea in 1957 in violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement and stationed 1,000 nuclear weapons in south Korea. The DPRK's development of nuclear weapons is a purely defensive measure to cope with the US nuclear threat.

We must step up solidarity with People's Korea,with No Ifs and Buts.

Space Industry Is Prerequisite to State Development and Improvement of People's Living

Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, during his recent visit to the National Aerospace Development Administration, set it as the priority task for the state space development to possess weather observation satellite, earth observation satellite and communications satellite.

This measure of the Party Central Committee reflects its noble intention to thoroughly provide for disastrous climate, effectively protect and use the natural resources of the country and forcefully propel the scientific development of the national economy.

The grand plan for space conquest unfolded by our Party greatly encourages all the people in their general onward advance for the comprehensive development of socialist construction.

A KCNA journalist met officials of the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, the Ministry of IT Industry and the State Hydro-meteorological Administration on April 26.

They warmly congratulated space scientists and technicians making remarkable achievements in the development of working satellites based on leaping progress made in the core space science and technology researches for attaining the immediate and long-term objectives of the space conquest policy set forth by the Party. Widely introduced to the world are technologies of surveying land and forest resources, monitoring natural disasters like forest fire, automatically detecting disaster-hit areas and making quantitative confirmation of disasters with the use of satellite images.

Our country has laid a foundation for ensuring in a scientific and unified way such work as the creation of forests, their protection and management, management of land and environment and the protection of ecological environment, with the help of satellite data like forest resources survey and analysis system, Hwanggumsan creation decision support system, forest fire monitoring data service system, and water body environmental change notification system based on remote survey technology.

More working satellites from our country will provide real-time satellite data, which means a new turn in land management, ecological environment protection and disaster control and more beautiful landscape of the country.

Jang Yong Gil, vice-minister of IT Industry, said that the plan of the Party Central Committee to spur the independent space development and build full-fledged space industry capable of forcefully spearheading the economic development opens up a new prospect of development for the IT field.

It was emphasized at the historic 7th plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea for the hydro meteorological field to bring about a new improvement in the weather forecast, consistent with its duty as a scout party which shoulders upon itself the destiny of farming, a field made priority by the state, he said, adding:

The development of modern agriculture would be unthinkable apart from the development of weather forecast.

It is vitally important to develop weather observation and forecast with the help of satellite data in ensuring scientific accuracy and promptness in the weather forecast.

The data from observation tools mounted on working satellites are urgently needed for the hydro meteorological field, too, as this field studies and predicts the process of climate changes of earth atmosphere, oceans, seas and land.

The satellite information will help easy and prompt observation of meteorological elements with high degree of accuracy.

I am so pleased that the day when we will be able to use real-time meteorological data from our working satellites for weather forecast is not far away.

We will decisively raise the balance among short-term, mid-term and long-term forecasts, enhance the scientific accuracy of crop growth predictions and agricultural weather notification system and also put spurs to developing and introducing the region-specific rainstorm and flood early warning system. -0-

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),  the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea(BGSJI), the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK) and the British Solidarity Committee For Peace and Reunification on the Korean peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued the following joint statement denouncing attempts to suppress pro-DPRK channels on Youtube;

Turkish friends have brought it to our notice that yet another attempt to being made to suppress pro -DPRK channels on Youtube. Back in 2020 the extremely popular Youtube Channel "Echo of Truth ' featured Miss Un A  was closed by Youtube after pressure from the likes of the CIA front organisation NKNews and the mainstream media.

Now the liberal fascists are gunning for other Youtube channels which show the reality of the DPRK. The Youtube channel North Korea Now ' , which is run by the south Korean puppet fascist 'news agency ' Yonhap attacked the Youtube Channel New DPRK ' and several others calling them the 'secret weapon ' of the DPRK. This is nonsense. These channels are not propagandist and feature very little ideological or political content but simply show the reality of the DPRK through the eyes of those living in there.

This is a most sinister and perfidious attempt by the south Korean fascist puppets to obliterate any pro-DPRK content on social media to stop people from learning about what really happens in the DPRK.The south Korean puppets , the CIA and mainstream media want Youtube users to only see the lies and slanders created by the south Korean puppets about People's Korea .

This is just one of many attempts to silence support for People's Korea, another example is the deletion of the original KFA UK Facebook page in March .

Ssirum, Traditional Sport of Korea

The Korean nation has created and developed many folk games and traditional sports which suit their physical constitution and sentiments since long time ago. 

Among them is ssirum (Korean-style wrestling). 

It has something in common with wrestling of other countries as in both the sports two people strive to throw each other to the ground using strength, hands and skills. But ssirum players wear a strip of cloth bound round their left thigh–this is special feature peculiar to it.

On November 26, 2018, ssirum was registered as an intangible cultural heritage element at the 13th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO.

Rangnang Museum—Showcase for Old Culture

The Rangnang Museum is located in Rangnang District in Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The museum keeps historical relics and remains, which show the Rangnang Civilization created by the people of Ancient Joson (early 30th century BC–108 BC) in its late period and their descendants.

It is composed of a history section, a folk game section and a leisure area, and more than 2 000 pieces of relics and remains representing the relevant period are on display there. 

Many people visit it every day and have a good time experiencing the old culture.

The museum was inaugurated in September last year. 

Mausoleum of King Tangun, Founding Father of Korean Nation

The mausoleum of King Tangun, the founding father of the Korean nation, is situated at the foot of Mt Taebak in Munhung-ri, Kangdong County on the outskirts of Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Tangun established Ancient Joson (early 30th century BC-108 BC), the first state in the history of Korea. 

Covering a total area of 45 hectares, the mausoleum consists of the section of the monument to its renovation and the one of stone sculptures and the central section.  

Inside the coffin chamber there are the coffins of Tangun and his wife.

As the mausoleum contains elements showing the cultural, political, economic and military might of Ancient Joson and is based on the traditional form of the tomb of the Korean nation, it is regarded as a cultural asset replete with national character. 

It was renovated in 1994.

Pyongyang Declaration, published under the title of “Let us defend and advance the cause of socialism” on April 20, 1992 is a historical declaration issued by the leaders and representatives of political parties aspiring towards socialism including communist parties and workers’ parties of many countries over the world who came to Pyongyang to participate in the celebrations of the 80th birthday of President Kim Il Sung.

It was adopted at the time when socialism collapsed in some countries and imperialists and reactionaries noised about the “end” of socialism.

It gave a clear elucidation of the intrinsic superiority of socialism over capitalism, the cause of the collapse of socialism in some countries and the stand and principle to be taken by the parties aspiring after socialism.

Pyongyang declaration is a historic declaration that expressed the firm resolution of communist parties and workers’ parties and many parties and people aspiring towards socialism over the world to firmly defend and powerfully advance the cause of socialism with full confidence in the face of the collapse of socialism in some countries.

As soon as the declaration was published progressive political parties around the world vied with one another in signing the declaration and its figure reached more than 300 in 2017.
