Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- The United States worked out a strategy for aggression using Network as a new means of a war and is giving spurs to its implementation.

The U.S. recently spelled out "a network operation strategy".

The above-said strategy calls for introducing preemptive attack in the network operation and describes the preemptive strike within network as "preemptive strike going beyond boundaries."

In a word, this strategy is aimed at preempting attack on other countries in the field of network in a bid to destroy military intelligence-gathering facilities, etc. and thus maintain a strategic edge and attain its aggressive purpose.

Pursuant to this strategy, the U.S. seeks to have under its control both network "shield" and "spear" in an effort to defuse the threat from potential enemies and ensure an unchallenged edge.

The U.S. installed computer virus at the majority of its military bases as a weapon and seeks to build a network "shield" linked with NATO allies.

In the past the U.S. got nervous about the defense of network in the main but it is now channeling its efforts into network attack forces according to the doctrine of preemptive attack.

To this end, the U.S. established a network headquarters for network attack operations and put it under a strategic headquarters in a military base in the suburbs of Washington.

It is said that the U.S. keeps more than 30 000-strong network forces at present.

It is stepping up the development of new type network operation weapons with an investment of a stupendous amount of fund. It also produced software aimed to spread pro-U.S. information and create confusion among "hostile states" in listening to media.

It plans to create a unit for network operations at reserve forces.

The U.S. persistently hatches plots to disarm other countries in the field of network.

One of them is "freedom" in internet and it is doggedly forcing other countries to apply it.

Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently made public a new defense strategy the keynote of which is to maintain its "position as a world leader".

Timed to coincide with this, the U.S. military warlike forces made the story about "provocation and threat" from the DPRK an established fact, talking about "worst scenario" and "uncertainty".

What does this mean?

The Asia-Pacific region is now becoming a center of world forces.

The U.S. is keen to make the 21st century a "U.S. Pacific century" in a bid to emerge an emperor of the world.

The "U.S. Pacific century" is, in essence, a new version of the U.S. foreign policy to monopolize the political and economic interests in Asia-Pacific region.

In a word, the U.S. announcement of its new defense strategy is aimed at formally spelling out a war strategy of putting importance to Asia-Pacific and directing its spearhead to the DPRK and China.

Its goal is to intensify the military infiltration and interference in the region by sparking a crisis and escalating the tension on the Korean Peninsula. Its ultimate purpose is to pressurize China, its biggest strategic rival, by force of arms and control Asia-Pacific and keep world supremacy.

It is part of the U.S. scenario that it is providing military support and encouragement to south Korea, Japan and other allies, while overstating "threat" from the DPRK.

The dangerous and reactionary nature of the U.S. new defense strategy lies in its moves to deter other powers from exercising their influence over the region and enlarging their beat by force and build an order of U.S.-led imperialist domination.

The U.S. unlimited imperialist greed and military adventures are posing a grave menace to peace and stability in the region and increasing the danger of a new Cold War there.

The U.S. is seriously mistaken if it thinks it can make the 21st century a U.S.-led 'Pacific century" from an outdated hegemonic viewpoint.

UK KFA refutes the smears and slanders of the "Independent"

On January 22nd the "Independent " newspaper carried an article "His dear leader: Meet North Korea's secret weapon - an IT consultant from Spain" about the Korean Friendship Association , Alejandro Cao De Benos the KFA president and the international KFA meeting hosted by UK KFA. The article is full of smears, lies and inaccuracies. The writer of the article had promised to let KFA see a draft of the article but this never happened.
The DPRK itself is subjected to all the old tired burnt out discredited propaganda cliches , "totalitarian"(what does that mean when its at home ?) "paranoid" "isolated" The Independent journalist needs to know that far from being isolated the DPRK has diplomatic relations with more than a 100 countries and good relations with neighbouring countries such as Russia and China which the late great leader comrade Kim Jong Il visited last year. As to paranoia the DPRK needs to be ever vigilant against provocations from the US which keeps 30,000 troops and 1000 nuclear weapons and also the south Korean puppets plus Japan which is remiltarising itself and has designs on the Korean peninsula. The old porky about 'famine' is also repeated, even though numerous eye-witness know this is not true and that members of KFA and the JISGE and ASSPUK who have been to the DPRK and seen the reality of the DPRK can testify to the falsity of this (see the book "Behind the Mirror of Lies-The Truth About the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ).
The writer of the article seems to not know his way around London as he described the meeting as being held in 'Camden,north London ' when in fact it was held in central London. The article claims that only 20 people attended the meeting but in fact there were more than that. The proceedings of the meeting distorted by just quoting part of Alejandro's speech . n fact there were many questions and wide-ranging discussions on numerous subjects such as housing in the DPRK, the evironment, foreign trade, the nuclear issue, religion and spirituality .
The "Independent " also falsely claimed "Though many in the audience wore militaristic attire", actually no one in the audience was in militaristic clothes. Only 2 people wore 'Kim Il Sung suits' which are civilian clothing in the DPRK .
The writer also tried to equate KFA with " – medieval role players, American Civil War re-enacters, Japanese anime obsessives – the KFA's members seem not completely at home in their own world, seeking instead a deeper affinity with a distant, idealised time or place". In fact KFA members are drawn with all walks of life and have jobs and families . Our membership includes councillors, charity workers, teachers etc.
Un-named sources are used to make claims about KFA trips to the DPRK . This reminded one of much of the reporting on the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe during the cold war which used to repeat wild allegations from un-named "diplomatic sources" , of course this really meant spies .
The worst venom in the article in reserved for Alejandro himself . Much of this is not worthy of discussion and has been said before. It included rather pathetic attempts at amateur psychology . Such things did not hold water in either criminal and civil law.
The "Independent " has shown itself not be independent , it is just like the rest of the imperialist media and represents corporate interests, independent of what exactly ? Independent of good journalism and accuracy !

A typical example is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's five-day visits to four Latin American countries from Jan. 8

20-Day Industrial Output Value Shows 1.2 Times Increase in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The gross industrial output value grew 1.2 times for twenty days of January this year as against the same period last year.

This is the result of the high-pitched drive waged by all the workers of the country since the first day of this year after receiving with excitement the joint calls of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, the joint New Year editorial for this year and the letter of the working people in South Hamgyong Province.

In the period, the Ministry of Light Industry increased the production 1.4 times and the Ministry of Food and Daily Necessities sharply boosted the production.

Thermal and hydropower stations have increased the ratio of operating the generating equipment.

Much effort is being concentrated on supplying coal to the thermal power plants and chemical and metal plants and developing more coal beds.

The Ministry of Coal Industry produced 12 000 more tons of coal than planned for the 20 days.

Iron mills and steelworks also increased the production.

The freight transport volume increased by 12 percent from the same period last year.

Innovations were made in the production of vinalon and fertilizer by the industrial establishments in the field of chemical industry and in the production of custom built equipment and mining machines by the industrial enterprises of the field of machine industry.

The forestry stations and pit wood stations increased the timber production.

Progress has been reported on a daily basis from the important projects including the building of apartments in Mansudae areas and the Paektusan Songun Youth Power Station.

GIs in south Korea Branded as Drug Peddler

Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- It has been recently disclosed that a GI smuggled a large amount of drug into south Korea.

This person serving at a U.S. army unit in Songnam city, Kyonggi Province, secretly introduced a large amount of drug by means of international mail.

Detected in his lodging was material believed to be identical to drug.

The fact goes to more clearly prove that GIs are the root cause of drug-related crimes recently rampant in south Korea.

For instance, more than 10 drug-related cases were reported from among GIs present in south Korea from January to August 1999.

Later, an officer of the U.S. imperialist 7th Air Force was unearthed while smuggling a large amount of cocaine and family members of GIs were hell-bent on drug smuggling.

The drug smuggled by GIs has given a great damage to south Koreans.

The 1960s witnessed tragedies in which a large number of south Korean women were missing or died of illness after being addicted to drugs.

Even GIs used the drug to satisfy their desires for murder. In March 1970 a drug-addicted GI cut off the heads of Kim Hwa Nam and his wife in Dongduchon, Kyonggi Province and another GI mangled a woman to death by a scissor in Taegu in December 1987. These were small part of the hideous crimes committed by GIs.

Lee Myung Bak Termed Chieftain of Massacre of Ryongsan Evacuees Three Yrs Ago

Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Preparatory Committee for Memorial Service for the Ryongsan Tragedy condemned the puppet group of traitors for the massacre of Ryongsan evacuees. The Committee consists of more than 100 civic and public organizations.

They held a rally in the plaza of the Seoul Station on Jan. 19.

The speakers said though three years have passed since the tragedy, probe into the killing has not been made and the evacuees who fought for their rights to existence are still kept behind bars.

The present "government" forcibly evacuated residents without any measure, pursuant to its reckless devolopment policy, speakers charged, deploring it will bring the second and third Ryongsan Tragedy.

They strongly demanded the immediate release of the unjustly detained evacuees and the enactment of the "law on banning forcible evacuation" to prevent the Ryongsan tragedy from repeating itself.

Paek Ki Wan, chief of the Institute for Unification Studies, made a memorial address.

It is Lee Myung Bak who masterminded the massacre of Ryongsan evacuees, Paek said.

Firstly, senior officials of the party, state and army of the DPRK and all the people had already held Kim Jong Un in high esteem as their leader.

Yesterday Daily NK being operated by human scum released misinformation cooked up in a back room of Chongwadae and KBS echoed it.

Today CBS and other media released false reports about the DPRK, talking about "discovery of leaflets".

Even authorities joined this smear campaign, trumpeting about the DPRK's "unstable system" everyday.

This campaign is peppered with lies and deception.

The puppet group's despicable attitude stunned not only media at home but the world, touching off derision and criticism.

Many media at home and abroad including Huan Qiu Shibao of China and Hangyore of south Korea accused mass media in Seoul of intensifying the smear campaign against the DPRK, noisily trumpeting about various pieces of misinformation through their local news coverage teams. They cited facts to prove it.

Lurking behind the anti-DPRK smear campaign stepped up by the group on the basis of lies about what happened after the big loss though it turned out to be hypocrisy overnight is a sinister aim which should not be overlooked.

It is the intention of the group of traitors to incite the hostile forces' aggression and interference in the DPRK and gratify its ambition for "regime change" at any cost by creating impression that the DPRK is instable and complicated within.

Chinese paper Huan Qiu Shibao on Friday carried an article by its correspondent in south Korea, which said:

Media of south Korea are making much ado about various sorts of misinformation. Among them is a gossip that China will help build a nuclear power plant for the DPRK.

Choongang Ilbo on Thursday reported two pieces of news aimed at China. One is that China is making preparations to build a nuclear power plant in the Rason Economic Trade Zone of the DPRK. The other is that China may offer an aid of food amounting to hundreds of thousands of tons to keep stability in the DPRK.

Yonhap News on Thursday continued to slander the DPRK. It reported that the DPRK is now suffering from "shortage of power and drinking water" and the price of goods is "skyrocketing" there. -0-

Pyongyang. January 21 (KCNA) -- Some media organs of south Korea are now dancing to the tune of the Lee Myung Bak regime's anti-DPRK rhetoric. As regards the fact, KCNA had an interview with an officer of the Korean People's Army (KPA), Jang Il Guk, and Ri Pok Sun, a department director of the C.C., the Journalists Union of Korea.

Question: The ultra-rightist conservative media of south Korea, including KBS, Tong-A Ilbo and Chosun Ilbo, are misrepresenting the situation of the DPRK and even slandering its supreme leadership. How do you think about this?

Jang Il Guk: KBS is misleading public opinion in favor of the south Korean regime, but nobody will be deceived by its misinformation.

Our servicepersons, with defending the headquarters of the revolution as their main mission, are determined to smash KBS taking the lead in the anti-DPRK campaign.

Anyone who dares slander the supreme leadership of the DPRK will be a target of our revolutionary forces, wherever they are.

If their ceaseless provocations lead to a war, what the DPRK will achieve is national reunification and what it will lose is the Military Demarcation Line dividing the country into two parts.

Ri Pok Sun: Objectivity and impartiality are vital to media activities. But the conservative media of south Korea only fawn on the power.

It is shameful for them to ignore their mission and duty and serve the group of traitors denounced by the people.

KBS and MBS broadcasts and leading dailies branded the GNP as a den of money politics and denounced the GNP saying that the GNP which kicked up a row under the signboard of reform for restoring its downed support rate, faces further plight for the recent money envelop case and it should wait the people's stern judgment. He gave warm instructions to ensure the thorough measures of treatment and hot water-supply for those standing guard outside, and for the leading officials to mix themselves with the people to console them and share the sorrow to overcome the difficult stage. Accordingly, facilities for warming the mourners were set up near the mourning stations, large buses with heated inside stood standby, service stands supplied the mourners with milk, hot water, bean water and tea free of charge, those standing guard were provided with fur caps and gloves, hot stones and heating bands, and medial workers applied ointments against frostbite and put the earplugs for them. Here is a moving story. When watching a game of the players of the KPA Sports Team in May of last year leaderKim Jong Il carefully saw a woman coach of handball and said she looked sick. He was told by an official that she contracted an incurable disease and she was striving in the training site day and night saying she would not leave the handball court till her last gasp. There has never been such a benevolent father and people's great leader as Comrade Kim Jong Un who suffered the biggest grief but fathomed the grieving people's pains first and bestowed the kind-hearted love on them. It is his motto and his viewpoint on life that we should even pick up the stars for the people's sake and nothing is more precious than them, and the cadres should be people's servants. Indeed, respected Kim Jong Un is a great sun which embraces the people in his benevolent bosom and gives them vitality and happiness with the light and heat. Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Lee Myung Bak's hysteria for confrontation with compatriots has reached its height.

Lee, touring a frontline unit on Wednesday, blustered that "the north shows a very bellicose posture" and the Korean Peninsula is a "divided country where exist the most warlike forces in the world."

He went the lengths of crying out for "taking strong posture for counter-action to deter the north from provocation."

This is an unpardonable insult to the mourners in the north still in unbearable sorrow and grief over the loss of the great father of the nation and an act adding to his crimes.

As far as "bellicose nature of the north" touted by Lee Myung Bak is concerned, it is an eruption of anger of the service personnel and people of the DPRK at the worst confrontation and war monger who drove the situation of the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war by insulting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK during the mourning period of the nation.

Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea issued a white paper Thursday to inform the world of the crimes the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors committed last year by pushing the inter-Korean relations to the lowest ebb out of its hideous crimes perpetrated over the last four years since its seizure of power.
According to it, the group totally denied the DPRK's proposal for inter-Korean dialogue.
On Jan. 5 last year the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK in a joint statement proposed to the south Korean authorities, political parties and organizations to hold wide-ranging dialogue and negotiations.
The puppet authorities, however, groundlessly spoke ill of the DPRK's proposal for dialogue from the outset, saying "there is no sincerity in it and it is no more than tactics of the united front."
Moreover, they flatly turned down the proposal for dialogue by putting up the "dismantlement of nuclear program" and solution to the "Cheonan" warship case and the Yonphyong issue and other unreasonable issues as preconditions.
They went the lengths of turning their faces away from dialogue, impudently decrying even the authority of their dialogue partner.
After being compelled to appear at the preliminary military talks, they persistently insisted on the solution to the warship sinking case and Yonphyong Island incident, deliberately creating complexity. Truth behind of Warship 'Cheonan' Sinking Disclosed

Pyongyang, January 11 (KCNA) -- Sin Sang Chol, a former member of the joint team for investigation into the warship "Cheonan" sinking, posted an article disclosing the truth behind the case on an internet website of south Korea on Monday.

In the article he had already made a conclusion that there was no explosion that sent the warship into the bottom of the sea, adding he denied the fact that a torpedo went off below the ship.

That is to say, there was no torpedo at all, he stressed, and went on:

Discussion on the torpedo itself is a fabrication.

The Defense Ministry described the case as "sinking by explosion" and made an official announcement. Little over 15 days later, the joint investigation team announced that a thorough survey of the seabed of the waters close to the point where the stern of the ship sank resulted in discovering a torpedo. Then it opened the design of the torpedo and its photo to media.

But, the torpedo made public by the Defense Ministry for the first time touched off a dispute soon. There were many suspicions. Measurement of the design was not right. Why was the numerical value cm? The style of written language was not north's. Why is the torpedo so old as it had been under water just for 50-odd days? With what evidence do they prove the torpedo is from the north?

As these suspicions were made, the joint investigation team opened the "north's torpedo No. 1" in a glass box on May 20, 2010.

The appearance of the torpedo produced as a real thing, not one in photo, made the world attention distant from the photographed torpedo made public five days ago.

But, what mattered was the second.

A scrutiny into the torpedo in the photo and the second torpedo in a glass box shows they were not identical to each other.

At a glance, the second torpedo looks similar to the first torpedo. But it is not hard to clarify the fact that the comparison of every part with those of the torpedo produced earlier suggests that they are quite different from each other.

There were clear traces proving much effort was made to make the torpedo produced for the second time look similar to the first torpedo opened to media.

The results of the close photographing of the torpedo showed such clumsy work that traces of the work done by a press to make the parts of the controversial torpedo look similar to the old rusted parts in the center of the torpedo were clearly visible.

He consulted the two different torpedoes with lawyers and submitted its results to the court bench as evidence along with convincing opinions on them.
