February 18 (KCNA) -- A national meeting took place at the People's
Palace of Culture on Tuesday to mark the 40th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il 's proclamation of the programme for modeling whole society on Kimilsungism.
On February 19, Juche 63 (1974)Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung
as an integral system of Juche-oriented idea, theory and method and
proclaimed the modeling of whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme
programme of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The programme is Juche-oriented revolutionary one for advancing the Korean revolution by regarding Kimilsungism as the only guidelines and transforming man, society and nature as required by Kimilsungism to build society where the independence of the popular masses is fully realized.
Present at the meeting were Pak Pong Ju and other senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, media and other fields of party ideological work, persons of merit, working people in Pyongyang and the delegations of overseas Koreans.
Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), made a report.
The reporter said that the proclamation of the programme marked a historic event that provided an important programme to the revolutionary party in the era of independence and gave perfect answers to the issues on the strategy and tactics for implementing it and set a new milestone for the WPK and the Korean revolution.
