Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- Socialism will certainly triumph by
virtue of united struggle of the people armed with socialist ideology,
says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in an article.
Only when the popular masses are armed with the socialist ideology
and the socialist ideological position is hardened, can they
consolidate, develop and defend socialism in any trials, the article
says, and goes on:
To be a strong country there should be a powerful military muscle
and developed economy. However what is more essential is ideology.
The power of rifle depends on the ideological preparedness of the
owner. It is the might of ideology that turns impossible into possible
and makes ideals come true. One who adheres to ideological work will get
strong and win.
This is proven by the practical experience of the Korean revolution.
It is the traditional political mode of the Workers' Party of Korea
to push forward the revolution and construction with the might of
ideology.
The WPK has conducted ideological work to give the fullest play to
the revolutionary enthusiasm of the service personnel and people and
worked epochal miracles in the socialist construction in the grim days
of the revolution.
When socialism collapsed in some countries due to the imperialists'
anti-socialist moves, socialism in the DPRK stood firmly and emerged
victorious. One of major secrets to this was that the WPK gave the top
priority to the ideological work.
It is the intention of the WPK to improve the ideological awareness
and moral traits of the party members and other working people by
intensifying ideological campaign, information service and agitation and
give a great momentum to the general advance for a final victory in
