The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK) , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, the Korean Friendship Association of the UK KFA UK ) ,and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in Korea (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement denouncing the visit of the USS Ronald Reagan to south Korea :
Soon the US imperialist navy nuclear powered aircraft carrier , the USS Ronald Reagan will arrive in the south Korean puppet port of Pusan where it will take part in an aggressive war exercises against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) . The USS Ronald Reagan , appriopiately named after the warmongering US leader of the 1980s , carries 90 planes and has a displacement of over 100, 000 tons . This is the first time in five years that a US nuclear aircraft carrier will take part in war exercises against the DPRK .
The visit of the USS Ronald Reagan to south Korea and the planned war exercises are an affront to the dignity of the peaceloving and independent DPRK . The exercises and the presence of a US nuclear aircraft carrier is a grave provocation against People's Korea aimed at intimidating the socialist country and threatening regime change .
We demand that the USS Ronald Reagan is turned back and the planned exercises are scrapped !
Hands off People's Korea !
