             28th   of May (2025)

The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI)  and the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK ) issued a joint statement to commend the publication of the memorandum of Institute for American Studies of the DPRK Foreign Ministry that was issued on Monday 26th of May ;

The  Institute for American Studies of the DPRK Foreign Ministry released a memorandum on Monday 26th of May drawing attention to the so-called  "Golden Dome" missile defense system" of the US imperialists which was correctly described as  " typical product of "America first", the height of self-righteousness, arrogance, high-handed and arbitrary practice"

Through the creation of the "Golden Dome " missile defense system , the US imperialists are seeking to make pre-emptive strikes on anti-US states and obtain nuclear supremacy . Moreover they are seeking to miltarise outer space . The miltarisiation of outer space is a long term aim of the US which started with the "Strategic Defence Initiative" in the 1980s.

 As the memorandum correctly warns "The U.S. plan for building a new missile defense system is the root cause of sparking off global nuclear and space arms race by stimulating the security concerns of nuclear weapons states and turning the outer space into a potential nuclear war field."

The US is also prepared to risk the security and safety of its allied countries by militarising space and bringing the danger of nuclear war nearer.

The "Golden Dome " missile defence system will cost an astronomical amount of money .

It is very clear that the DPRK is correct to build its deterrent force and other national defence capabilities .

We recommend a deep study of the memorandum of the Institute for American Studies of the DPRK Foreign Ministry and commend it to a wider audience
