Dear Comrades and Friends,
Coming 25th, August will mark the 60th anniversary of the day which the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il marked the first step of leadership on revolutionary armed forces.
As the day approaches, our people are recollecting with deep emotion the immortal exploits of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il which were contributed to the building of our country into an invincible military power.
As you are well aware of, in the past, our people had to suffer the agony of an enslaved nation after being deprived of their homeland by Japanese imperialist due to the poor military strength.
Such a country and nation now presents itself proudly on the world arena as an invincible military power and a dignified independent nation. This is absolutely indivisible from the energetic leadership of Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il on the revolutionary armed forces.
Being inscribed the iron truth that one cannot defend the security of a country and nation nor protect the peace with poor military strength, on 25th, August, 1960, he marked the first step of leadership on revolutionary armed forces with a visit to Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guard 105th Tank Division of Korean Peoples Army(KPA).
In mid 1990s, when our country was faced with worst challenges, he attached a first-priority to military issues and pressed forward the socialist cause and national defence with the KPA as the main force thus frustrating the threat, sanction and blockade of the hostile forces.
The imperialists are playing the tyrant, launching missiles to and killing innocent civilians of other countries, but never dare to touch us. All because we have invincible military power that was built by President Kim Il Sung and Leader Kim Jong Il.
Today, another illustrious great person, an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander, the Respected Supreme Leader Comrade Kim Jong Un leads our revolution in front.
Under the brilliant leadership of the Respected Supreme Leader, which adds glory to the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il's immortal exploits that was contributed to strengthening the revolutionary armed forces, our people overcame all kinds of pressure and challenges undauntedly. We could successfully protect ourselves and finally rose to a strategic position that cannot be ignored or denied by the world.
Our people will firmly rally around Respected Supreme Leader and safeguard our precious socialist home and realize the historical cause of socialist power construction brilliantly.
We hereby express our expectation and belief that those who treasure the friendship and world peace will extend strong support and solidarity to our people' struggle to thwart the sanction and isolation of the hostile forces and to build socialist power.
