We just have learnt of a plan by the British Broadcasting Corporation , aka the British Brainwashing Corporation to start daily propaganda broadcasts on short-wave radio to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea . This means that British imperialism is joining the US imperialists and the fascist south Korean puppets in their psychological warfare against the DPRK , its socialist system and supreme leadership ! It is also an attempt at imperialist and bourgeois ideological and cultural infiltration into the DPRK in order to undermine its socialist system from within. In the past the BBC World Service played a role in undermining the former USSR and socialist countries in Eastern Europe. It shows that the British ruling class is working behind the scenes , hand in glove with the US imperialists, to overthrow the DPRK and make the northern half of Korea a colony of world imperialism.
We, the ASSPUK, Juche Idea Study Group of England and UK Korean Friendship
Association , strongly denounce this insidious move by the reactionary establishment to interfere in People's Korea and effect 'regime change'. It is a wanton violation of the sovereignty of the DPRK .
It is disgusting that at a time when British people face austerity, unemployment and poverty and even the BBC itself is facing cutbacks , that money can be found for this Cold War propaganda project. The money could be better spent on housing the homeless.
We call for this insidious project to be stopped.
