Dear comrades and
friends , honoured representatives of the DPRK Embassy , it is a
great pleasure to address this KFA International Meeting .
On the 24th of December
this year the Korean people together with the world progressive and
KFA will celebrate the 23rd
anniversary of the appointment of the great leader comrade Kim
Jong Il asthe Supreme Commander
of the Korean People's Army.
23 years ago the
19th plenary meeting of the 6th Central Committee of the Workers'
Party of Korea decided to appoint great generalissimo Kim Jong Il
as the supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. President
Kim Il Sung deemed it necessary to transfer the command of
the KPA to comrade Kim Jong Il in order to carry the Songun
revolution forward ,guaranteeing succession in the revolutionary
cause and victory in the showdown with US imperialism the sworn enemy
of the Korean people and world people,When the great generalissimo Kim Jong Il was appointed as
supreme commander of the KPA the
international political situation was very strained and complicated.
The anti-socialist campaign started by the imperialists and modern
revisionists , after the frustration of socialismin the USSR , caused a
very difficult situation . The US imperialists spearheaded an
anti-DPRK campaign against it was
a bulwark of socialism.
The Korean People's
Army, founded by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung ,is the
reliable defender of socialist Korea. It was the Korean People's Army
under the command of the great leader generalissimo
Kim Il Sung that defeated
the US imperialists for the first time in history
starting
US imperialism on the road of decline and opening up a new era of
anti-US, anti-imperialiststruggle.
Today the DPRK is on the front line of the struggle against
imperialism , the KPA is the defender of world socialism and the
anti-imperialist forces of the world so assuming the post of supreme
commander of the KPA meant that the great leader comrade Kim Jong
Il assume the responsibility for the defence of world socialism
and world peace.
The great leader
comrade Kim Jong Il ensured that the priceless achievements
made by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung made in the field
of army-building were continued and actively carried forward. As
supreme commander the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il built
up the KPA as the army of the leader with a steel-like unity based
on the Juche Idea and the Songun idea .This was
complemented by the blossoming of the great army-people unity under
Songun revolutionary leadership of the great leader comrade Kim
Jong Il. This is unknown elsewhere in the world.
The great
leader comrade Kim Jong Il is the brilliant commander of Songun, the
general of Mt Paektu. Beginning his Songun revolutionary leadership
on the 25th of August 1960 at the Ryu Kyong Su Guards no 105 division
of the KPA . The great leader generalissimo Kim Jong Il
held
high the red torch of the Songun revolutionary cause started by the
great leader
generalissimo
Kim Il Sung. The
great leader comrade Kim Il Sung
had always placed emphasis
on the idea that the revolution is advanced by the force of arms
declaringthat
“ Weapons are our life and soul: Oppose armed force
with armed force!” . This was the very basis of the Songun idea . President Kim Il Sung led the
anti-Japanese armed struggleover 20 years and won victory over Japanese imperialism in 1945.
In the years
following his appointment as KPA supreme commander in 1991 the great
Leader comrade Kim Jong Il administered Songun politics
fully by building up the KPA as the core force of the Korean
revolution . He ensured that the KPA was not only strong in arms but
strong in ideology and politics. Opposing the modern revisionists
attempts to 'de politicise ' and ' de ideologise' the army he ensured
that the army held fast to the line of being the revolutionary armed
force of the Workers' Party of Korea. Supreme Commander Kim Jong
Il fully promoted the revolutionary soldier spirit, the epitome
of the militant Songun ideology, which pulsated throughout society
leading to world-startling feats like the construction of the Anbyon
power station.
The DPRK faced acute
threats from US imperialism and all kinds of international
reactionary forces Supreme Commander comrade Kim Jong Il has by his
brilliant commanding art defeated all these attempts to stifle
Korean style socialism by force,honourably defending Juche Korea, the
bastion of socialism .
The KPA and Korean
people under the leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong
Il faced down the US imperialists when they clamoured over the
nuclear issue. The DPRK threw a nuclear thunderbolt of Songun at the
imperialists by successfully testing a nuclear device. The KPA
smashed the provocations of the south Korean puppets and US
imperialists at Yongphyong island thereby defending world peace and
socialism. Thus the 20 years of leader's Kim Jong Il's command
of the Korean People's Army were years of great achievements in which
the KPA has been strengthened greatly . Because of the decisive role
of the anti-imperialist military front there have been victories in
other fields such as the economy and culture UK KFA rejoices over
these achievement.
The Songun
revolutionary cause of army leadership is now been continued by dear
respected Marshal Kim Jong Un supreme commander of the KPA.
When the great leader generalissimo Kim
Jong Il passed away the party and the people urged dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un
to take the role of supreme commander of the KPA. The Political
Bureau of the Workers' Party
of Korea decided on the 30th December 2011 that dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un
should be KPA Supreme Commander. In the spring of 2013the situation in Korea
was rendered extremely tense due to the US imperialist sanctions and war exercises, dear
respected Marshal Kim Jong Un ensured
that a militant revolutionary
anti-imperialist , anti-US line was taken . He inspected frontline
units.
The
line of building up the economy and nuclear force in parallel was put
forward at
the March plenary meeting of the WPK Central Committee. We believe
that KPA and Korean people will be totally victorious under
the command of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, another
great general of Mt Paektu.
UK KFA upholds the
leadership of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and
we try our best to defend People's Korea and its achievements . This
has caused us to come under attack from the
imperialist media and the reactionary establishment . Several media
articles have attacked
UK
KFA . In November 2013 our picket of the south Korean puppet embassy
was harassed by the
reactionary “NK News “ and fake defector “Joo Il Kim. “ In
March I myself was
attacked by the “Sunday Times “ , an outlet of the Murdoch
press with close ties to the British secret service. As a result I
was charged with so-called “serious misconduct” at work,ordered
to stand down as KFA Official Delegate and threatened with dismissal
. I was even questioned
for 3 hours at work by an HR investigator about my KFA role. As a
result I
have now left the job with some loss of income . This incident and
others like it shows that so-called democracy in the capitalist
countries is a total fraud .Despite this fascist McCarthyite persecution by the
enemy and setbacks that it has caused UK KFA has maintained a level
of activity which has included a picket of the US embassy in
March , a annual general meeting and issuing numerous statements as
well as regularcontact
with members and the use of social media.
We
hope that this meeting will be a big success and will make a big
contribution to the
work
of defending the DPR Korea and promoting its great achievements.
