Bodyguard

 

Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese woman hero, always holds the foremost place among the numerous bodyguards who safeguarded President Kim Il Sung resolutely.

One day in June, Juche 29(1940) during the anti-Japanese armed struggle there was a battle at the end of the valley of Dashahe.

Kim Jong Suk defended Commander Kim Il Sung by his side, watching circumstances with great vigilance.

When turning her eyes upon a field of reeds, she found five or six figures in yellow leveling their rifles at the mid-slope of the mountain where there was Commander Kim Il Sung.

At the critical moment Kim Jong Suk threw herself in front of the Commander to shield him, annihilating Japanese soldiers with her mouser.

 She rushed only a few steps and destroyed the enemy only in a few seconds, but that was a great moment to save the Korean revolution and the destiny of the nation.

She shielded the safety of the headquarters of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army in many other battles.

In battles at Fusong, Hongqihe, Huanggouling and other places during the anti-Japanese armed struggle she defended Kim Il Sung from danger just like a fortress and shield.

There are many legendary anecdotes on her loyalty in the anti-Japanese war days.

A moving story tells that in the bitter cold of 40 degrees below zero she dried the Commander’s wet clothes in her bosom.

Her burning loyalty for the leader produced the most beautiful and noblest sincerity beyond human imagination.

In Juche 30(1941), she cut her hair to make a pair of cushions of winter shoes for Commander Kim Il Sung.

She devoted her all for the leader and the revolution.

Intense loyalty and self-sacrificing spirit was her first and foremost quality.

The career of anti-Japanese woman hero Kim Jong Suk was the noblest life that vividly showed where the genuine life and happiness of revolutionary and human being are.

Hers was also the life of a great revolutionary who created a noble model of resolute defense of leader.
