Racism Reveals Truth of American-style “Democracy”

Polarization into rich and poor among different races is aggravating in the U.S.

The U.S. Federal Reserve Board has recently announced the findings of a financial survey showing that the gap between the rich and poor among different races are getting wider than in the past.

The survey revealed that blacks and Latin Americans are the poorest of all races in consumption, and their property level was extremely low compared to that in 2019, and with a relatively wide gap when compared with the whites.

When it comes to increased property composition by different races (2019-2022), housing, stocks, cash and other property elements saw an even increase for whites, but uneven or with insignificant change for blacks and Latin Americans.

The same can be said of property holding ratio by races. The property holding ratio of whites remained relatively high and stable as compared to last year, while that of blacks and Latin Americans is still at a low.

Now in the U.S., ever-increasing acts of human rights violation including mass imprisonment and residential segregation against minorities, and “blacks hunting” aggravate conflict among races, resulting in extremely worst socio-economic contradiction.

In the American society, the dignity and value, and the role and position of human beings are determined by race, and the exercise of their socio-political rights differ from race to race; and the deep-rooted racial discrimination has become a social trend and universal cultural norm. Therefore, it is too natural that the right to existence of the colored races can never be ensured.

A large number of the colored races are blatantly discriminated in all fields of social life for a mere reason that the color of their skins is different from whites. This is the reality of the American society which professes to be a “symbol of progress and enlightenment”.

According to the study conducted by Harvard University in August 2022, mortgage rates are always higher for African Americans than the whites, regardless of their income. An example is that in the second quarter of 2022 alone, the percentage of African Americans and Latin Americans who have their own houses is 45.3% and 48.3% respectively, compared to 74.6% for white families.

The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination recently published the final report that the mortality and incidence rate are incomparably higher for pregnant women of colored races or ethnic minorities. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the U.S also issued a report showing that African Americans, Latin Americans and indigenous Americans continuously suffer from racial inequality every time they get COVID-19 treatment.

The same goes for political life. To cite a few examples, legislative organs of 39 states of the U.S. passed in 2022 no less than 393 restrictive bills which place obstacles to voting, and in particular, the exercise of voting rights by the nonwhite voters is extremely restricted.

What is ridiculous is that the U.S. administration is deceiving and fooling the world saying that “material prosperity” and “economic miracles” can be achieved only by introducing the American-style “democracy”, while self-praising that the Americans are enjoying “equal freedom” and “benefits of democracy” in the political, economic and cultural fields.

But the reality clearly shows that the American-style “democracy” is none other than a flowery word intended to legalize, for the benefits of a powerful and rich minority, the exploitation of and oppression upon the majority of poor people including the minorities, who are deprived of rights under all kinds of discriminative measures.
