Pyongyang, September 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on Sunday had a photo session with the participants in the paramilitary parade celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
The participants at the venue for the photo session were full of great emotion and joy as they were to have another happy time with the highest honor of having splendidly celebrated the 75th birthday of the DPRK through a grand paramilitary parade in the presence of the great Comrade Kim Jong Un, the invincible banner of our powerful Party, state and people.
The moment Kim Jong Un arrived, all the participants raised stormy cheers of "Hurrah!", looking up to him who is adding eternal brilliance to the new era of self-respect and prosperity, the era of our state-first principle, while consolidating the national power of Juche Korea to the maximum with his extraordinary idea, leadership and iron pluck.
Acknowledging their enthusiastic cheers, he congratulated all the participants in the parade who made a contribution to glorifying the 75th founding anniversary of the DPRK as a grand political festival to be specially recorded in the history of the country.
Kim Jong Un was greeted by O Il Jong, department director of the WPK Central Committee who is commander of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards, Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the WPK, and Ri Hi Yong, first vice department director of the C.C., WPK.
He said that the impressive military parade, which showed the bravery and cohesion peculiar to Juche Korea, is a great event as it proudly represented the foundation of the genuine People's Republic and the glorious history of its development, and a powerful demonstration of the invincible spirit of socialist Korea where all the people form a fortress for national defence to reliably protect the independent dignity, national prestige and peace and stubbornly advance to achieve the great cause of building a powerful nation.
Saying that the 75-year-long history of the DPRK proves the truth that independence and self-sustenance are guaranteed by the strong power for self-defence, he stressed the need for all the people across the country to firmly defend the precious gains of the revolution with the absolute might of single-minded unity and by dint of all-people death-defying resistance, tightly taking arms in one hand and hammer, sickle and writing brush in the other.
He expressed expectation and belief that the participants in the parade would play the vanguard and core role in the honorable struggle to implement the Party's policy on putting all the people under arms and turning the whole country into a fortress and build a powerful socialist nation, in the same spirit and mettle that they showed while marching through the square full of patriotic enthusiasm. Then he had a significant photo session with them.
When the photo session was over, stormy cheers of "Hurrah!" and shouts of faith of "Kim Jong Un" and "Devoted defence" by the participants resounded throughout the sky of September.
All the participants made a firm pledge to build a manifold fortress and become the first death-defying corps in defending the Party Central Committee and achieve fresh miracles and victory in the van of all-people patriotic struggle for overall prosperity of the country, bearing in mind the great love and trust shown by Kim Jong Un as the most precious treasure of their life. -0-
