On Jan. 28, over 400 civil organizations issued a statement in demand of suspension of south Korea-US joint military maneuver scheduled for March. The joint military maneuver would incite military and political tension of the Korean Peninsula and trigger the danger of war that would claim the lives of millions of civilians, they warned. The military drill would accelerate dangerous armament race and isolation, pressure and sanction are failed policies, they stressed.
