Campaign for Boycotting Vote

The campaign to boycott vote for the conservative elements in the upcoming general election is being carried on in south Korea.

The Family Association of the April 16 Ferry Sewol Disaster and the April 16 Solidarity called press conferences to make public its plan for boycotting vote for the conservatives on March 19.

Eighteen members including Hwang Gyo-ahn, Cha Myeong-jin and Kim Jin-tae of the United Future Party and the representative of the Free Republican Party Cho Won-jin running for parliamentary seats were on the list.

The UFP should admit that the UFP is friends with Hwang and Cha who are responsible for the sinking of ferry Sewol. It is shame that Hwang and Cha would be elected as the assemblymen representing fifty million people, chairman Chang Hoon of the Family Association of the April 16 Ferry Sewol Disaster, said.

The Family Association of the April 16 Ferry Sewol Disaster and April 16 Solidarity would launch a vigorous campaign in demand of a strict investigation into the sinking of ferry Sewol and punishment of those responsible for it and to boycott vote for them in the upcoming election, he stressed.

Meantime, the Progressive Federation of Students had a press conference to call for the people to vote in opposition to Na Gyeong-won, a pro-Japanese element, who is accused of fraudulent entrance examination of her daughter on Mar. 20.
