London 1st of March Juche 108(2019) The Association for the Study of Songun Politics(ASSPUK) , Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE), the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula (BSCPRKP)issued the following joint statement on the apparent conclusion of the 2nd DPRK-US summit on the 28th of February :
The 2nd DPRK-US summit was held in Hanoi on the 27th and 28th of February amidst the high expectation of the world people that it would achieve a lasting and durable peace on the Korean peninsula and in the world.However the summit did reach agreement although both leaders agreed to meet again.
The summit ended without an apparent agreement due to the US's refusal to accept the fair and realistic proposal of the DPRK for denuclearisation and improving DPRK-US relations . The DPRK's proposal was a most reasonable which did not ask for much and could have been easily accepted . However the US side acted in an arrogant and highhanded manner .Basically the US wanted the whole cake not just a slice and refused to pay for it first.
Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has shown that he is a very wise , astute ,shrewd and creative leader. On the one hand he did everything to defuse the tense situation on the Korea peninsula and help world peace . He met Trump not once but twice . However at the same time he did not compromise unlike leaders of some former socialist countries , he maintained an independent stand and fought for the interests of the DPRK and Korean people on the negotiating table . Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is the true winner. The DPRK won a great moral victory in Hanoi.
What is needed now is for solidarity and campaigning in support of Juche Korea , for an end to the US hostile policy against the DPRK and for a cessation of military exercises on the Korean peninsula .Lies and misinformation about Juche Korea must be combated. We plan to do our bit by doubling and trebling our activities in support of the DPRK .
Final Victory belongs to Juche Korea !
