The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK , Juche Idea Study Group of England , UK Korean Friendship Association and UK Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Gathering in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu held a meeting to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the great Fatherland Liberation War and to celebrate the successful Hwasong -14 ICBM test fire. The meeting was held in central London . The meeting started at 2pm . It was attended by members of the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA as well as by Theo Russell Central Committee and Political Committee member of the New Communist Party . Prof Dr Harish Gupta of the IIJI and Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea was unable to attend but sent a paper into to read out.
Dr Dermot Hudson President of the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK and chairman of the Juche Idea Study Group of England opened the meeting saying that July is a month of great victories for the DPRK. The DPRK has now tested another Hwasong 14 ICBM following on from the earlier test on the 4th of July. The US imperialists are putting immense pressure on People's Korea and we must rally around People's Korea and defend it . Dr Hudson spoke about the July 4th Hwasong 14 test saying that " People's Korea led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN can not only defend itself from US imperialism but can win a war for national reunification , a war to liberate south Korea from the colonial rule of US imperialism . This would be a great inspiration to the world progressive people and world anti-imperialist forces, a real shot in the arm after so many defeats and setbacks . Although the US imperialists and their followers are angry and shaking their fists in impotent rage at Juche Korea and also those cowardly two-faced sold-out countries are moaning about the Hwasong-14 , the world revolutionary peoples are looking up to Juche Korea with smiles of admiration . Juche Korea has become an inspiration for anti-imperialists as it is a fortress of militant anti-imperialism and a beacon of independence and socialism... Dear Marshal KIM JONG UN wisely declared that 'DPRK would neither put its nukes and ballistic rockets on the table of negotiations in any case nor flinch even an inch from the road of bolstering the nuclear force chosen by itself unless the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat to the DPRK are definitely terminated' These words greatly inspire us and give us strength and confidence. In the past some socialist countries capitulated to US imperialism in a shameful manner.Khruschov of the USSR declared 'peaceful co-existence 'with imperialism and melted down tanks and guns. Brezhnev , the successor to Khruschov agreed with the US imperialists to limit its strategic arms and Gorbachov the traitor of all traitors dismantled the weaponry of the USSR .The US imperialists , the world imperialists , the big power chauvinists and international revisionists all fear and hate dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN because they know that he is a revolutionary , an anti-imperialist and will never sell-out the interest of the Korean nation. Without a doubt the Hwasong -14 test fire was a great victory for Juche Korea and not just Juche Korea but the entire world revolutionary movement . The power of Juche that has been demonstrated by the test-fire greatly inspires us and the world anti-imperialist forces"
The meeting heard presentations on the Victory of the Korean People in the great Victorious Fatherland Liberation War .
Shaun Pickford secretary general of the JISGE , chairman of Staffordshire KFA and Chairman of Stoke On Trent JISGE branch said that the Fatherland Liberation War was a great victory for the Korean people . The US imperialists threw in huge forces but suffered a massive defeat of unprecedented. The Korean People's Army led by commanded by the great leader generalissimo KIM IL SUNG won victory at Taejon liberated most of south Korea within weeks .
Dr Hudson made a speech on the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War saying that ' In the DPRK they say July follows June meaning which means that although the US imperialists started the Fatherland Liberation War (known as Korean war in the West) on June 25 1950 it ended with the victory of the Korean people on July 27 1953. The Fatherland Liberation War was a truly herculean and titanic struggle which saw the Korean people defeat US imperialism for the first time in the world . When the war broke out on the 25 June 1950 , the odds against young People's Korea surviving let alone defeating US imperialism seemed very slim indeed because the US had a population more than 20 times the size of the DPRK's and nearly 100 times the size of the DPRK in terms of landmass. Moreover the US had waged over a 100 wars of aggression and had emerged as the victor in the Second World War . As part of the allied forces the US had seen off Imperial Japan , Nazi Germany and fascist Italy. The US had emerged as the boss of US imperialism . It had a huge military machine and a global empire of military bases across the world .On top of this the DPRK not only to had to fight against the US but also the forces of the south Korean puppets , armies from 15 satellite countries of the US and the Japanese fighting secretly in Korea wearing the uniforms of the south Korean puppet army .... The US threw into the war unprecedented numbers of troops and amounts of materials . The war raged on until July 27th 1953 when the US kneeled down and signed the Armistice Agreement. Clark, the US commander who signed the Armistice Agreement lamented his fate as the first U.S. Forces commander who failed to win victory and signed the armistice agreement During the three-year long Fatherland Liberation War, the U.S. imperialists lost over 1,567,000 men, including more than 405,000 of their own armed forces, and an enormous amount of combat equipment and war supplies, including over 12,200 aircraft, more than 560 warships and ships, over 3,200 tanks and armoured vehicles of different types, more than 13,350 trucks and 7,690 artillery pieces of various types. This is only part of the bitter setbacks suffered by them in the war. They also suffered irretrievable political and moral defeats. It was a great victory for the Korean people and opened up a new era of anti-US, anti-imperialist struggle. Indeed Korea was the war before Vietnam ! The victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was due to the outstanding an brilliant commanding art of the great leader Generalissimo KIM IL SUNG , a military strategic genius and ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander"
Some questions and discussions followed . Speakers criticised the role of Japanese imperialism in the war as well as the participation of Britain in the war. The brutal atrocities of US imperialism were denounced .
The UK KFA Communications Secretary and secretary of the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula read a statement Great Brilliant Commander saying that ' Five years ago, on July 17, 2012, supreme leader Kim Jong Un was honored with the title of the DPRK Marshal. The past five years under the leadership of the supreme leader are the grand days of victory. The Korean people, led by the supreme leader, has won a series of victory in the fierce showdown with the US imperialists and safeguarded the sovereignty of the nation and peace and justice of the world. Dr Hudson said that ' Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has declared that the DPRK's nukes and missiles are not negotiable unless the US ends once and for all its hostile policy towards the DPRK and packs its bags and leaves the land of Korea for good as no one wants the Yanks in Korea ! In the past the Soviet revisionists capitulated after 5 days in the Cuba Missile crisis but respected Marshal KIM JONG UN who is a great anti-revisionist and great anti-imperialist will fight on until final and total victory . The five years since dear respected comrade KIM JONG UN have been years of victory and glory for the cause of Juche-based and Songun-based defence upbuilding . Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is an ever-victorious iron-willed Marshal of Juche .Only victory and glory are in store for the Korean people under his leadership'
A paper from Prof Dr Harish Gupta of the International Institute of the Juche Idea and Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea was read out.Prof Dr Gupta's paper detailed the great feats achieved by President KIM IL SUNG in liberating Korea and also the defeat of US imperialism in the Fatherland Liberation War.
In the general discussion speakers denounced the new 'liberal ' puppet regime of south Korea. It was said more must be done to expose the south Korean puppet regime. The UK KFA Commissar said that KFA is the only legitimate solidarity organisation with People's Korea in the UK and denounced the role of fake parties and fake friendship organisations. A letter to dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted . An exhibition of works of the great leaders President KIM IL SUNG , Chairman KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN as well as books on the Juche Idea and Songun idea plus publications of the JISGE and UK KFA was held. Refreshments such as tea and coffee were served. Meeting closed at 1700 hours.
