today we are marking very significant
anniversaries; the 17th anniversary
of the election of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL as
general secretary
of the Workers' Party of Korea , the 69th anniversary of the
foundation of the
Workers' Party of Korea and the 88th anniversary of the foundation of
the Down-With
Imperialism Union . All these anniversaries fall in October and
are dialectically
linked to each other.
The decision to unanimously elect the great leader
comrade KIM JONG IL as
the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, on the 8th of
October 1997, reflected the deep respect, support and trust of the
WPK members and entire Korean people for the great leader comrade
KIM JONG IL who had led the party for many
years after starting work at the Central Committee of the WPK in
1964. The great leader comrade KIM JONG IL
was the successor to the great leader comrade KIM
IL SUNG who carried forward the Juche
revolutionary cause and cause of Juche party building.
As
the dear respected leader Marshal KIM
JONG UN
pointed out;
"The
most important guarantee for victory in the revolution is to
strengthen the party, the General Staff of the revolution, and
solidify the driving force of the revolution by uniting the service
personnel and people around it."
The great leader comrade KIM JONG IL as general
secretary of the WPK was always amongst the KPA soldiers and people
uniting them around the Party the supreme general staff of the
revolution.
The WPK under the leadership of the
great comrade KIM JONG IL pushed forward with the Songun
revolution with the Korean People's Army as the core force of the
revolution. Whilst leading the WPK he developed Songun politics in
depth .
The WPK
under comrade KIM JONG IL's leadership always enhanced its
leadership over the revolution thus smashing the anti-socialist
machinations of the imperialists,renegades and opportunists.
During
the tenure of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL as the
general secretary of the WPK big strides were made in developing the
economy and improving living standards as well as in the work of
defence up-building .
The achievements of the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL as general secretary of the WPK are immortal . The 4th
Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea took a decision to elect
great generalissimo KIM JONG IL as the
eternal
general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea. As the dear
respected
leader
Marshal KIM JONG UN said
"Our
Party, with him as its eternal General Secretary, can carry the
revolutionary cause of Juche and the revolutionary cause of Songun to
brilliant completion with a solid organizational and ideological
guarantee for leading the revolution and construction to victory"
The exploits of the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL as general secretary of the WPK will live down the
generations . The cause of Juche-party building is wisely continued
by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN who follows in the
footsteps of the great leaders comrades KIM IL SUNG and KIM
JONG IL.
The
Workers' Party of Korea founded 69 years ago on the 10th of October
by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG with its roots firmly
in the revolutionary traditions of the Down With Imperialism Union
has led more than six decades of successful socialist
construction . The Workers' Party of Korea is the organiser and guide
of the Korean people and the general staff of the Korean revolution .
The Korean people under the banner of the red flag of the WPK built
an advanced socialist system. Korea was transformed from being once
a colony into a powerful socialist country of Juche , a country that
is independent, self- sufficient and self- reliant in defence. Korea
which had once not been able to make even the simplest weapons for
itself became a socialist nuclear power with long-range rockets under
the Songun revolutionary leadership of the great leader comrade KIM
JONG IL and the WPK.
The
WPK is the mother party that takes care of the lives of the people.
Free education and free health care were introduced, long ago, indeed
the free health system was introduced in the flames of war in 1953.
Korean people receive great social benefits such as free housing and
taxation was abolished in 1974. Now under the leadership of dear
respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the WPK is pushing forward all
manner of projects to improve living standards such as Changjon
street , the Ryugyong Heath complex, the Masikryong Ski resort and
many others . Thus the DPRK is becoming a people's paradise the envy
of the world people and the model that the world revolutionary people
dream of.
The
WPK under the guidance of the great leaders comrades KIM IL SUNG,
KIM JONG IL and KIM JONG UN has united the people
solidly around itself, achieved single-hearted and single-minded
unity the like of which is not seen anywhere else in the world. The
WPK has achieved total oneness of ideology , a unique feat in the
international communist movement. The leader , party , army and
people form an integral harmonious whole . No other country in the
world knows such unity and amity . This is due to the outstanding
leadership of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG and his
Juche-orientated theories on party building. This has splendidly
carried forward by the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL who
has built up the WPK as the party of the great leader comrade Kim Il
Sung. Now the dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has ensured
that the WPK is and will always be the party of the great leader
President Kim Il Sung and general KIM JONG IL.
The Workers' Party of Korea has staunchly fought against
modern revisionism , opportunism , flunkeyism ,dogmatism and
factionalism . It has upheld the red flag of socialism opposing the
attempts of the modern revisionists, renegades and imperialists to
stifle socialism. Under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM
JONG UN the WPK smashed the attempt of the counter-revolutionary
factional clique to destroy the party in December 2013. Now the WPK
is waging a revolutionary ideological offensive. As the dear
respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN pointed out
" The
most powerful weapon for a party that wages a revolution shouldering
people's destiny is ideology, and it is its one and only weapon.
Without ideology, a party cannot be founded nor can it exist, and its
work and revolutionary struggle are inconceivable separated from
ideological work. The bloodline of the revolution is defended and the
revolution advances on the strength of ideology."
The WPK
has maintained revolutionary and class principles such as the line
of anti-imperialist, anti US struggle when others compromised and
kowtowed to US imperialism and still do. Under the banner of
Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism the WPK is not only the leading
force of the Korean people but a shock brigade of the world
revolution.
The
Workers' Party of Korea has as its bedrock the Down With
Imperialism Union formed by the great leader comrade KIM IL
SUNG on the 17th of October 1926 . 1926 was a year of great
revolutionary tempest as in Britain the general strike took place ,
all over the world there was an upsurge in the revolutionary
movement.
The Down
With Imperialism Union was founded on the basis of revolutionary
youth and students . The great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG had
prepared the ground for the formation of the DIU by leading many
struggles amongst the youth and students including a strike of school
students against reactionary teachers. These struggles fostered core
elements of the revolution. It was not formed from the factionalists
who indulged in empty talk and who were divorced from the popular
masses as they were drawn from the middle class , bourgeoisie and
ruined aristocracy. The DIU fought for the revolution on the basis of
independence. The idea and lines of the Down-Imperialism Union
were brilliantly implemented and carried forward by the Workers'
Party of Korea founded by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG and
developed the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL.
Today under the Songun revolutionary leadership
of the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN the WPK is
rushing forward under the unfurled red banner of
Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism to the bright future of a thriving
socialist country and reunification. Victory and glory to the
Workers' Party of Korea led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN
!
